Restaurace U Svatého Jána — Restaurant in okres Domažlice

Randomly, we picked up this restaurant on the way back to München from Prague. Why some wrote bad experience about service?

I ate at this restaurant . for me they provide good (even great) food (traditional Czech) with so big portion.

The young man on the reception was so humble he speak little English.

the waiters: one lady can’t speak german nor English only Czech the other speak german.

First i feel that they are not so welcome to costumers because of the review. But it just their way straight to the point to talk (the german speaking waiter i refer, because i speak both English and German.

They are open from 11-14 in Saturday untill 15.30 . I think the will close at sunday.

They are spacious. They dont have drink list. But you can order almost everything the german waiter said. Toilet is clean. Vegetarian is welcome. You can eat some cream soup (which had perfect taste) and cheese panier was good. I ordered duck that i cant finished 😂 take away costs you 10Ck each box use.

Stumbled across this place a while ago. It is located in a quiet village in the Bohemian Forest. It is placed on bank of the village pond. The restaurant takes good advantage of this fact by having a large number of tables on a generous bright windowed wall, overlooking the pond, where you can watch the ducks cavorting. The food is classic Bohemian and very tasty. I really like to come here with my family. They also have some play materials for pre-teen kids, like a black board and crayons. Wir waren heute denn 19.02.2023 im Restaurant. Was uns sofort aufgefallen ist war die Bedingung (klein, bisschen fester, dunkle Haare). Auf der Rechnung stand Nikol drauf

Sie war total unfreundlichen, bei Bestellung der Getränke Wunden 2 unterschiedliche Biere bestellt und Sie stellte es her, sagte nur. Und ein 10 bähhh mit Zunge raus

Bei der Bestellung der Speisen sagte Sie, was wollen ah und Pommes. Ich sagte bitte mit Kroketten darauf Sie nur Oh man Und was auf Tschechisch Mein Bekannter sagte Pfifferlinge und sie verdrehte Augen und nur AHCH

Andere tschechische Gäste kamen dann rein und wurden von ihr Besserung schneller bedient bekamen auch die Bestellungen schneller als wir was auch Frechheit war

Eine junge schlanke schwarzhaarig war noch als Bedienung dabei die auch oft von ihr komisch angesprochen wurde aber darauf kann ich nix sagen und sprachen tschechisch

Im Gericht dann waren Champions und keine Pfifferlinge was wir am liebsten zurück geben hätten sollen nur wegen der Bedienung

Geschmacklich kann man nicht sagen ist echt super und viel aber wegen der Bedienung werden wir nie mehr hingehen und keinen empfehlen

Eigentlich schade da es schön am See liegt und waren gerne im Sommer dort und auch Enten beim schwimmen zugesehen aber das was heute erlebten war ein no Go

Unterm Essen kam dann eine Dame aus Küche (rot braune Haare) die Frau war super freundlich und brachte Kindern sogar Stifte und Blatt zum malen Denke das war die Chefin gewesen denn die unfreundliche Bedienung war dann plötzlich ganz anders nur geht sowas meines Erachtens nicht das man so unfreundlich ist
