Restaurace U Mlýna — Restaurant in okres Olomouc

This one is kind of hard for me to rate, since it's definitely not a bad place, however there's a few things bugging me. A small mess in drinks (one more fridge might be a good idea, and why is in a bottle called Martini Bianco some red liquid?), no prosecco on a summer day, but most of all the surroundings is kind of... Kind of horrible actually. Having a children's playground (safe trampoline included!) right next to the terrace is nice, but an old, ugly grain mill (not the cool water or windmill, tall concrete ugly mill) close by doesn't look great, and especially... There's an outdoor gym right next to the playground. Why? Does someone come to have lunch and feels guilty about the calories so they go immediately burn some of them off? It' just feels kind of weird to eat and look at people doing push-ups. Otherwise it's pretty nice as far as outdoor gyms go, so if you don't mind the occasional stares of people eating ribs, then I can only recommend it. The menu has reasonable selection of reasonably priced items, which also taste...

Me and my family had dinner there on a Saturday. The restaurant was open unlike many others in the vicinity and you could pay by card, which, surprisingly, isn't the option in many places in Czech Republic. The service was very quick, the waitresses and waiters were very kind and helpful. However, the food itself was of poor taste. The cabbage we ordered was very vinegary, which I may attribute to the traditional flavour of this dish (I really don't know, but I didn't like it). While the flavour of the meet (stew) was good, the meet was very, very dry and tough. And it cannot be attributed to the 'tradition'. Having said that, we only had one dish, so I don't know about the rest of the menu. I bet the meat we had wasn't stewed...

A really nice place to enjoy a simple yet tasty meal. The playground just outside is a great bonus.

I would have rated the food higher had my child not received his tortilla (wrap) with the cook's hair inside the wrap, and my schnitzel had not been raw in one corner, or the salad was not wilted or rotting in some spots and another small hair identical to the first was not identified on my plate too...

Hygiene is clearly an issue at the restaurant.

Staff are nice and pleasant and the restaurant otherwise...
