These people writing positive reviews on here about Richmond Bar and Grill were either paid, or are truly delusional. The owners have done nothing to the place other than drive 75% of their business away. There will always be people who will look past the mediocre food and horrible service to enjoy the spectacular view, and I get it. Great view. Sad it has to be clouded by the worst management and customer service to ever serve a plate of food or a long awaited drink. I'm not going to tell you not to go to this establishment but I will tell you that I surely won't. Anyone who visits here will see what's left of a dilapidated and always uninhabited bar. The owner lies on yelp and responds to reviews only a couple hours after they are posted, not to mention with blatant lies about what they think(and clearly, don't know) happened. It's obvious from their immediate responses to all the negative reviews that they have something to hide and make up for. I'm pretty sure the management just like confrontations. They may think that this belittling of customers is insignificant or that responding to the posts will make people think that their restaurant is okay, but anybody who knows anything about yelp will look at the abundance of negative reviews and the common message in those reviews, and they will see that this restaurant suffers from an owner with no restraint, who manages with the mind of a middle schooler who has been given control of a lake-side bar. It's sad because they have a great location, but they will never succeed, because the new generation of people and clientele don't have time or patience for incompetent owners living in the past, and in a world pre yelp, pre people reviewing and sharing their experiences. My wife aged 60, all of 5 feet tall, and my cousins boy aged 7 were seated at a table waiting for me to arrive by boat. They had a small container of fruit they prepared for me to take on the boat after we ate lunch. The container was a sealed plastic bowl and it was in a small bag.

While waiting, my wife got the dis-pleasure of meeting Dan, the owner. He told this little Grandmother and the boy to get the F**ing food out. She explained the small fruit container was for her husband and grand children in the boat and they had just left to order - Burgers and Fries. He spoke loudly and in full view many people. My wife was embarrassed and frightened.

I asked to speak with Dan as I thought there had been a mistake. I introduced myself and explained the food was for the boat and that we just spent $129 on food for 6. His exact words- I DON'T GIVE A F*K. This was said directly to me loud and clear by Dan- The Owner. I walked away. We picked up our lunch and we ate. We were determined not to let Dan's loud, profane, rude and inconsiderate actions effect our day at the lake. We went on to have a great time.

I have frequented Richmond Park Grill many times and I always considered it to be family atmosphere. My wish now is that it be closed or sold. Everytime i go to visit my family member we go.to the Park. The people are very welcoming. Service is top notch. If they are busy it may take the girl behind the bar a few minutes to make her way down to you but never a long wait. In fact shes usually there by the time your drink is 3/4 gone asking if you want another one. Music is great. Whole atmosphere is relaxing and friendly. They have a live band performing quite often. The entertainment is good. Haven't heard one band that i have not enjoyed yet. They have had Karaoke and everyone had suck a great time singing and dancing. If they arent providing live bands or Karaoke then you can simply just go out on the pier and relax and look out across the lake. Very peaceful. And serene . You can even bring the littles with you and enjoy there yummy food and play a game of pool or to listen to the band. They also have a few video games if that is something they like to do. I know most bar and grills aren't much of a family welcoming atmosphere but not the Park. Everyone is welcome no matter the age. So next time you are cruising out in that area of the world stop in say hi and have you one of their Rum Runner frozen daiquiri's. (My absolute favorite) . You'll be...
