O Poeta — Restaurant in Gombe

I had the pleasure of visiting O Poeta restaurant for the first time today. I had heard about the hype of their food, atmosphere, and service, and I was eager to see for myself if it was all true.

I was not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious! I started with the French chips and tilapia, which was perfectly grilled and topped with mushroom sauce.

The atmosphere at O Poeta is also very inviting. The restaurant is spacious and well-lit, with a warm and inviting ambiance. The staff are also very friendly and attentive. They were happy to answer any questions I had about the menu, and they made sure that my water glass was always full.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience at O Poeta. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was inviting, and the service was top-notch. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Food was good, although the Pizza Siciliana could have had more taste in spicies, i was positively surprised by the Chef salad. The service, to begin with was good - Stanny did his best and he was very helpful. Other people of the staff were indeed very professional.

Unfortunately 3 things disturbed the experience: a) When i went to the ladies bathroom, it was full of sh… obvisously, it might have been a guest; but that was unbelievably disgusting. Reason was, that the water in the toilet did not work - that should not happen in such a pricey space! b) It took more than 30 minutes from the moment we ordered the bill until we received it. Not even has it been explained in between, that there were issues with the ,,calculator‘‘. If there are issues, pls. communicate! I have never waited this long to pay a bill. 😤 c) we have explicitely asked for a table without a lot of noise, outside. Unfortunately, in our back; i guess few girls from the inside bar, were discussing very private things in an indiscrete and annoying manner- that is really not what people should expect.

I am a bit dissapointed, but we all have room to grow- so maybe the input can be used...

Have visited the place many times over the past 9 years and had always been the best place for pizza with my kids. This time around it left a bad taste because our order was not taken properly by a untrained and unprofessional staff Marrianna who is so rude and unprofessional.
