IKEA Swedish restaurant — Restaurant in Aarhus Municipality

Like always, it is a nice experience visiting Ikea and it's restaurant! As it was on our last visit. There was only one problem this time around. As usual I ordered the obligatory swedish meatballs. And they were ok, a bit to the tasteless side though this time, but still acceptable. What really disappointed was the very bland taste of the soda. Especially the Cola was almost tasteless. It smelled more like cola than it tasted. The same with the lingonberry soda. Maybe the sirup bottles just were almost empty, but all at once? I was a bit disappointed, over of the lesser successful visits. Maybe next time they are up to their regular...

I used to love going here but now it seems the portions are smaller - way less french fries and dry small chicken breast, looked a bit silly on the big plate to be honest. Meatballs were great though, as always! The drinks seemed "thinned" with more water. All in all, it seems they are trying to cut expenses which is obvious when eating in this restaurant... in addition, less flexible - I could not substitute one sauce with another but was told to buy extra sauce instead. The new ordering system is a disaster. The waiting time is crazy long. This particular time I had to wait even more. I bought a beer and someone was supposed to come and confirm my age at the ordering screen. Nobody came. I had to go myself to tell an employee but nobody knew that they had to do this.
