Came with a party of five. Three in my patrty ordered the buffy, which seems very popular indeed. Personally I'm not a big fan of buffet, so me and a friend had options from the menu.
For starter we had the fish soup, which we had to go get ourselves from the buffet. Not great service. The soup was, however, quite tasty, though a tad bit too salty. Because we had to get our starters at the buffet ourselves, the staff did not know when to get our mains ready.
I had the fried plaice with sauteed vegetables. The fish itself was perfectly cooked, and generously portioned. However, the plate was swimming in grease, so when you flip the fish to eat the other side it's no longer crispy, but greasy. The root vegetables were undercooked, and the onions burned. For the garnish there was some raw vegetables, with no dressing, and underripe raw tomatoes. The lemon was cut in such a way that you could not squeeze it. Disappointing.
When we had to pay, the staff didn't even know what we ordered. Lucky for them we are honest people.
The people in my party who got the buffet were pleased with it, though. So if you do come, go...
Read moreI thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. The ambience is lovely, tall ceilings and lights decor and comfortable seats. No problem sitting in a comfy sofa to breast feed. We were a group of nearly 20 people and drinks and food came relatively fast. My sister in law absolutely loved the fish bar and I really loved my meal of a stjerneskud. I thought it was a bit expensive looking at the prices but as soon as the food come out you know this is a challenge to finish :) staff is friendly and service is great. One thing was that we didn't have someone coming back to our table to ask how everything was, my brother had a burger and thought it was a bit dry, but other than that, I thought the experience was great and would love to come back for dinner another time, instead of lunch. They might need to update the address under Google maps, because we were directed to the old location which is now a fish bix, with harbour food - something I would like to try another time as well :)
All in all, with a baby of 3 months, this was a really great...
Read moreThe food is okay, not more. Pretty overdone combinations all over, with pesto and cheese clams and spinach salmon just being confusing. It would have been much better with more simplified flavours, eg. Classic moules marinieres and a better grip at salting the food properly.
Service was utterly abysmal, with us ordering two bottles of sparkling wine, only to be told on asking twenty minutes later that it was still warm and not ready to serve. So much for a nice start to the dinner. Two bottles of quite good organic Riesling were also served much too warm, and we had to ask for glasses for the wine (!). The glasses, plates, deep dishes and silverware also left much to be improved, with lots of damages (8 out of 10 of the soup bowls had cracks and chips), and a lot still had food on it even after being washed. We also never had any attention from the staff asking if we wanted any refills on drinks, water or such.
On the positive: The staff refilling the buffet did a good job, and there's a nice view of the harbor. Really can't recommend the...
