The Standard — Restaurant in Gentofte Municipality

Great food, nice location but poor service - unattentive, unskilled, non communicative. Really a pity. We had tried to book a table outside but were asked to just come by as reservations were only possible inside. We were lucky and got one. As it was a hot summer night we decided to stick to beer and cava instead of wine and had two courses which was recommended if you don‘t decide for the menue. Between the courses we needed to ask if the plates could please be removed though we had shrimps and the shells startet to smell. Also, we weren‘t asked for further wishes for drinks, etc.. I think you need to have at least the five course menue or need to be over 50 to be taken seriously in this restaurant. They have their quality of food, no question, but their...

The lunch menu is very unimpressive and overpriced. You can only have face open sandwiches, which are more of a snack than lunch. We had a very rude waiter who had an attitude and ignored us. He gave us cocky answers and at the end we had to go to the manager inside to pay because he "forgot " us three times.

Please save your self the trouble and walk 5 mins further where you will find nicer restaurants that are also located...

The Standard has one of the best location , waterfront. Almost no matter where u are located in the building you have waterfront view . Seafood makes a lot of sense at such a location .. today was jazz and oyster on the house ... Very nice gesture and we had a blast .. unfortunately the Danish late summer was not showing it self at the best .. the seafood platter was very nice and we will definitely find our way back...
