Cafe basilico — Restaurant in Guldborgsund Municipality

Based on the glowing reviews, we had high expectations. Unfortunately, they were not quite met. The setting is great, with a summery outdoor terrace and live music from a neighboring restaurant.

One of the senior staff members (an older woman) was attentive and clear, but our table was handled by a newer staff member (possibly a summer hire) who had a hard time taking our order and following instructions set. Despite the restaurant not being very busy, the food and drinks took a long time to arrive. One of our friends pizzas was missing an ingredient, while the same pizza at a nearby table was served correctly.

On the plus side, the pizza base was perfect with a crisp, very well-made. But the toppings were a bit sparse and the overall flavor was lacking.

To top it off, the payment system was down when we went to pay, so everything had to be manually calculated with a calculator.

Overall, a beautiful setting with potential, but the food and service need...

This family owned business is unique gem of Marielyst. We had a wonderful experience there. The staff were Warm and friendly upon and were very accommodating throughout our dinner. It’s easy to tell the quality of the by food by both its presentation and taste. The homemade hummus and sour dough pizzas were absolutely delicious and super satisfying. The atmosphere was also cosy and there’s even a small play area for children. After trying several restaurants on the street, I would Definitely say this one of the best this beach town has to offer without a doubt! Would certainly go back again, highly, highly...

Lage ist etwas abseits vom “Zentrum”. Etwas nach hinten versetzt. Bequeme Sitzmöbel auf der Terrasse. Tische etwas klein für die großen Teller.

Pizza für je 139 Kr (ca. 19 Euro) ganz schön teuer. Perfekter Pizzaboden. Aber der Belag ist recht wenig. Viel Käse, wenige weitere Zutaten.

Wir waren etwas enttäuscht, da die Zutaten der einzelnen Pizzen lecker klangen.

Geschmacklich war es aber nur “ok” und etwas langweilig. Ich hatte 5 winzige Scheiben Salami und nur ein paar kleine Rosmarinblättchen drauf. Das ist zu wenig. Demnach war der Geschmack fad. Man hatte nur Mozzarella im Mund.

Auch auf der zweiten Pizza befanden sich gerade mal 6 kleine Bröckchen Hackfleisch, 5 kleine Tomatenschreiben und zwei Basilikumblättchen drauf.

Auf dem Tisch fehlten Pfeffer und Salz.

Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Trotzdem mussten wir lange warten, bis wir endlich bezahlen konnten - obwohl nur drei Tische belegt waren. Es fehlte der Blick zu den Gästen. Sicherlich hätten wir auch noch einen Nachtisch oder weitete Getränke bestellt - aber wir konnten nicht bestellen, weil sie laaaange nicht zu sehen war.

Fazit: Grundsätzlich gute Pizza (Boden und Ideen) mit mäßigem Geschmack (Gewürze, Belag, Kreativität). Service freundlich aber nicht aufmerksam. Preise recht hoch. Wir würden nicht noch einmal...
