We had seafood buffet here, not a very enjoyable experience. First it’s not a relaxed buffet place, more like a seafood market where each fish desk is controlled by one “chef”. First you need get a card for 1/2 lobster. After a long queue we got our half lobster and I asked for some crab legs from the same desk the old guy is very very mean he just gave one small joint without any meat in it. He is in charge of the cost center of the whole restaurant, which is make it very hard to request any food from him. After 10 mins queue we just got a small 1/2 Lobster. I don’t have any incentive to queue again, that’s enough, it’s already destroyed the mood for the whole night. Then we tried some cold seafood dishes, all tasted very very boring and bad. Most cooked fish or shelled meat are too salty, it’s not the saltness born with the seafood it’s too much salt “chefs” added. Only a few things are eatable, like the frying food and salad. After the first round, we just want to get some salad and water only. We left there within 1 hour. For 600 krone each person, I think you have a lot of good places to go in Denmark. I have to admit the materials used are all decent but the salty tastes and the non-freedom of choosing your food can’t justify this price. If you ever have tried some properly cooked seafood I promise you won’t come back again like us 1 star is just for the materials per se, they are very fresh...

Solid 4 Star restaurant. Quality food and presentation.

A very pleasant restaurant overlooking the marina, about 10 minutes north of the city centre. The main dining room is upstairs providing a good view of the harbor.

Though we didn't have reservations, we were able to be seated within 5 minutes, in what appeared to be a busy restaurant for a midweek dinner. I had telephoned earlier during the day, but they didn't answer their phone.

Service was acceptable, though our young server was visibly put out by our interest to only order wine initially and enjoy a glass before ordering our meal. So, we accommodated her, and ordered everything at once.

However, she misunderstood our order, and brought out our starter salad with our main dishes. Since the fish dish was hot, we ate the main right away, and had the server take the salad back to eat afterwards.... Not a big deal, and good of the young girl to come over and apologize.

The food was very good, and like most Danish restaurants, heavy on the potatoes. Our fish was Haddock, 240 Dkr, baked in a butter broth, with assorted vegetables, including carrots and fennel. The salad, only 50 Dkr, was large enough to share. Our dessert was a chocolate fondant, 100 Dkr. Two Half bottles of wine were 270 Dkr each, for a total of 1166 Dkr.

A most...

Considering the price this was surprisingly underwhelming. Firstly the service was straight up inexperienced, lack of explanations and feel for the company and for the wine pairing it was just picking and getting poured - expected more in terms of explanations from this kind of price tier.

We had the seafood buffet which to be fair consisted of so many different kinds of sea food and various additions. Nonetheless, i found many of the items (since its also a buffet style) to be overcooked and having spent way to long on the table, especially considering its fresh seafood. Which often lead to dull and bland experiences. With that said i did enjoy the crayfish and a few other items.

In essence, considering the price and quality I'd rather stick to the abundance of great eateries I'm Copenhagen. If you happen to be around the area - honestly just save a bit and go to Køge...

Every inch of this place exudes charm and coziness. There were seasonal light decorations outside that made the area feel warm and inviting despite the cold night air. From the well set tables, to the view of the sea from the huge windows, and even the decor in the bathroom - it all makes this place feel like it has that special something that'll keep you coming back time and again. I haven't even gotten to how good the food is! My family ordered a full range of menu items and each arrived hot and well plated. Every bite was absolutely delicious! Seriously, wow the food is good! Despite being in a restaurant setting, each meal clearly had time and attention put into it. It made the dining experience feel more personal and cozy. The staff were all very kind and attentive. They truly elevated the experience in every way. Tak for mad ❤️

Solid seafood buffet out at Køge Havn. There are over 70 different cold and warm seafood dishes to choose from. We really enjoyed the food and surprisingly had a very good tuna tartar that tasted like poke (proper poke, not the “haole” version you get at trendy hipster joints in Cph). Spring rolls tasted really good and I was blown away by the kimchi! For a Danish seafood joint, the kimchi at Arken tasted far more authentic than many other places serving kimchi. My only negative comment is that a ticket is given for 1/2 a lobster. So it is not part of the all you can eat offer. Since the lobster was served cold, it was not as succulent as it could be. Overall a solid place and really good seafood dishes to choose from.

Always an amazing visit! 👏 Impeccably service and amazing food! I highly recommend the shared seafood platter, but remember to be very very hungry! 👌 It came with fresh oysters, delectible fish, and multiple types of shellfish (among it half a lobster per person) 🦞It's a good idea to reserve your seat ahead of time, and ask for the upstairs by the window table for a lovely view while you eat 🍷
