Den gamle Digegaard — Restaurant in Lolland Municipality

A great place at a great location close to the sea. The hotel is located in an old Danish house/farm/mansion (?). We were given an upstairs roo at the back of the hotel, the room was more an appartment with large sitting area, equipped kitchen and separated dining table. We decided not to have dinner (which was a mistake) but did take breakfast which was generous, with fresh products, excellent taste and served by the very friendly (owner?) lady. At least once a year we have fried eel with potatoes and parsley sauce.||||We ordered a table as well as the menu so we were sure the fried eel was there when we arrived.||||The Old Diggard has served fried eel for 35 years.||||The staff are sweet and friendly and service minded. Schöne Gaststätte, sehr nah an der Ostsee. Sehr freundliches Personal!!! Wir hatten einen Tisch reserviert, leider waren Hunde im Restaurant nicht erlaubt. Schnell haben sie uns draussen auf der Terrasse einen Tisch vorbereitet und wir konnten dort gemütlich sitzen. Speisekarte ist sehr übersichtlich. Kindergerichte waren sehr lecker und ausreichend. Für Erwachsene gab es nur wenig Auswahl. Unsere Vorstellungen waren, direkt an der Ostsee, ein Gericht mit Scholle, Flunder oder Dorsch zu essen. Da waren wir leicht enttäuscht. Wir haben uns dann Vorspeisen BESTELLT (Lachs, Lachsmousse, Griech. . Salat) , diese waren liebevoll zubereitet freundlich serviert und auch sehr lecker. Preise sind recht hoch, aber das ist ja immer subjektiv. Trotzdem empfehlen wir diese Gaststätte weiter, weil das, was wir bekommen haben, freundlich serviert wurde,sehr gut geschmeckt hat und das drum herum gestimmt hat.
