We recently organised a confirmation party for our son at the hotel. Service was good and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the food at the buffet left a lot to be desired. One fish dish was definitely not fresh and many of the dishes were unidentifiable and unappetising. Labels with details of ingredients, or at least names of dishes for identification purposes, would have helped, especially these days when people have allergies, etc. Such a shame as we had visited one year previously as guests of friends and had a lovely buffet lunch. Perhaps the chef has changed? The venue is great for parties and events, really nice setting. Just hope they will improve on the food...
Read moreThis was a one night stay during a business visit to a nearby company. The hotel is located at the entrance to a large state-owned park where the locals cycle, walk and jog and, I'm told there are wild deer. It is very tranquil and suited me well. However, I noted that not all rooms are en-suite (mine was but I saw a door on the landing labelled "Shower". My room had no telephone and the TV seemed to receive only three Danish channels all showing a "snow storm". I struggled to get Wifi access but, once I succeeded, it worked well. Dinner with my local host was fine as was the continental buffet breakfast. If I need to return to the area, I'd be happy to stay...

I had a disappointing opportunity to try salmon as a side and beef dish as the main course. Both meals were absolutely average shop-level quality. It was not fundamentally bad, but it was so generic that even the canteen in my workplace does comparably. The rose wine, despite costing around 150kr/bottle, felt like that cheap oversweet carlo rossi from any supermarket for 40kr max.
Even in Copenhagen you can get food that is tremendously better for the same price. For those 3 things I paid approximately 500kr.
You really have to be a Dane to spend that much money on such...
