Øksendrup Inn & Motel — Restaurant in Nyborg Municipality

I think we had room 11.||The room itself was quiet and had a shower and toilet. It was very, very, very basic and that would have been acceptable if the beds had been okay. My bed was unfortunately awful and I had a very poor nights sleep.||There was only one electric socket as well which was irritating as we had to unplug the lamp on the table to charge our phones...one at a time.||As it was, we only needed a bed for the night and moved on the next day. I have to say though, that if we'd planned on spending the evening in our room I would have been very disappointed. As it was we were attending a party elsewhere during the evening.||||Breakfast was included in the price (kroner 680,-) and was adequate. It contained of sliced cheese, fruit, coffee/tea, buns, bread, jam and cereal items. The grounds were nice if you had kids.||It's far away from anything (nearest shop 10-15 min. by car) so make sure you have what you need upon arrival.||The hosts were very friendly and nice. We were hungry upon arrival and she provided ||us with a home made bun and even threw in a slice of home made chocolate cake as well. Two of us had dinner here. I highly recommend to stay far away! Terrible food, coupled with mediocre service. They managed to do really simple, basic foods horrendously badly, burn them, and be rude about it. The sauce was a simple butter sauce, and it was burnt and bitter. I did point this out, but the guy just said ‘that’s how we do it’. This place might have had its time once upon a time, but it’s long gone. Sadly, really terrible...
