Solymar — Restaurant in Las Terrenas

Food is very average. I looked st the menu and it seems like almost everything has cream in it. The only thing I could eat here was a hamburger and it wasn’t really that good. I think this is a French place although I could be wrong I’m not sure. I also see some guy sitting down at the bar there all day on the laptop playing with the phone I think that’s the owner and he’s pretty much there all the time ruining it for everyone. One time I sat down at a table with a beer cause I was walking down the street with a beer from another place. I was about to order food but they said I had to leave because of the drink. Like the other reviewer said more lost business because I won’t be going there anymore nor will I be recommending it to anyone else. After spending one month visiting this restaurant a few times a week, unfortunately on my last visit I was totally disappointed. They do not have a professional business sense to keep an existing good customer happy. I went to have lunch, there were about 4 tables on reserve with no one there and they would not give us one and didn’t care that we were leaving. They were willing to seat us at a bad table that was in the sun because no one else wanted it. They lost out on a lot of money that we were going to spend using their chairs sitting on the beach and buying drinks and food all day. No loyalty to customers ....

Unflavored beauties. The food looks amazing but the flavor is non existent and when it is. It’s horrible their Cho fan is horrible to say the least the shrimp and rice taste rancid. When we complained they removed the plate but insisted on charging for it. When I confronted them they said my taste buds are immature and I have no idea how French food should taste. Mind you I have eaten at some excellent restaurants in France. Needless to say avoid this...
