I ordered the mondongo today. My advice for someone with a weak stomach or anyone for that matter is to absolutely stay away. The meat was not cleaned or seasoned properly. The minute I noticed I stopped eating it. The plantains were good. And those two stars is only for them. Now, I know it’s the inside of the animal and all but they could have done a better job. Moreover, I went alone, had that one meal but they tried to double charged. When I looked at the bill that was handwritten then at the girl at the counter, right away we made eye contact and she started laughing. The same minute one of the servers came to get the bill back and said an error was made. When she brought it back the charge was still a bit higher than the prices from the menu. Not a big deal, things get more expensive daily. Though the prices should be the same. When I pulled out my card, the same girl who was at the counter I had made eye contact with from across the room said right away, “we don’t accept cards”. That when I realized she was standing right behind me and looking at what I was doing. Creepy much! Also why isn’t there a sign that says no cards here? Anyway, I’m glad I had some cash with me to take care of the bill because she was like you can leave your phone or something of value that you’ll get back when you come back with the cash. I don’t really leave reviews, especially not bad ones but this service was the worst. The food wasn’t any consolation. I was looking for El Encuentro but ended up clicking on el Gran Encuentro. If they are the same restaurant but different locations, the owner should definitely do an inspection because I doubt they get repeated business. PS. The lemonade was good. Do believe the bad reviews. Based on my experience today, they are not lying. Hopefully I...
