This is by far The best experience I had in traditional meat Egyptian food. The quality of the food is amazing and I believe it is because they have their own butchery so they would want to maintain good reputation for both the restaurant and the butchery .
I were three so we shared together the following: 1 Hawashy —— minced spiced meat in baldi bread 2 Hawawshy sujok——- same as (1) but with added oriental sausage (sujok) I have never seen it before but it was out of this world NB tajin is a bowl made of pottery and whatever in it is cooked in oven. 3 tajin Akawy(tail) 4 tajin kawarea (leg meat which has more gelatinous texture rather than the usual lean meat) 5 pasta with liver 6 Fattah (rice based meal with special sauce made of tomato ,garlic and meat soup.
Hawawshy was the more delicious than any other place especially their signature Hawawshy sujok.
Tajin Akawy was great the meat was soft and tasty rich in the flavor of its dressing——-green pepper onions and bay leaf.
Tajin kawarea was really tasty and very rich and the best thing about kawarea in general that its flavour is so basic since there are barely any additions to it andI really like it this way.
Pasta with liver was very good and they are known for it and the liver was soft and smooth , just delicious
And finally fattah had small portion but it can contend for the title of the best in cairo.
As for the portions, they were big we took many things takeaway except Fattah which was small .
Although most of the seats are in the street but it was good the street was clean and the tables was well organized for everyone to be feel comfortable
Service was fantastic with really cool and active staff

Seating 10/10 - You can indulge in the local experience of eating while seeing your food made before you in a classic Hawawshi show. Or if you are craving a more fine dining experience, simply head up one floor and you will be seated in a luxurious AC private room overlooking the street.
Service 10/10 - The staff went out of their way to accommodate us with a long table and fine cutlery. The place was spotless and warm. Great menu, and a pleasant staff who were very forthcoming.
Food 10/10 - Hawawshi is a traditional dish where meat is cooked inside an Aish baladi (it's like a textured flatbread made of wheat). This place is renowned for this dish, and rightly so. Other food I would recommend are urz lahma (rice cooked in a pot covered in delicious meat and salsa dressing), ummo Ali (a classic sweet bread pudding), and for a very interesting drink be sure to ask for their whisky (it's not whisky, it's really salad water but that won't appeal as much since it's nothing like what it...
Read moreI had an amazing experience at Hawawshi Rebee with my partner when we visited Egypt. The people there were so welcoming, they even sang us a few songs while we were dining there. We appreciate the hospitality and the effort put in by the waiters in trying to communicate in English as we could not speak Arabic. At the end of our dinner we took photos with the waiter, and they even allowed us to go behind the grill to flip some hawawshis and to take some pictures.
We ordered a mixed hawawshi and it was absolutely amazing. We also ordered the oxtail, liver and fries which were really good as well. My partner ordered a bottle of Sting, which I believe the waiters went out of their way to get.
What an amazing, amazing experience. Would have gone back again if our scheduled had allowed. Definitely recommend for people to visit when they are in Cairo.
Big shout out to the waiter named Avatar. Unfortunately I lost your contact, but if you do see this please drop me your email or number so I can WhatsApp some...
