Sakkara Restaurant — Restaurant in Giza

On the trip to the Step Pyramid or the Pyramid of Zoser/Djoser, in Sakkara we stepped into this wonderful restaurant in Sakkara, for lunch. This seems to be a very popular place, both for tourists and the local population. We opted for the standard lunch, which was pretty filling. The eggplant dish was wonderful with fresh hot bread, so was the plate of rice with kebabs and grilled vegetables. The service was excellent, with polite, helpful and smiling staff. Flowers were everywhere with honey bees flying around. The washrooms were also clean, airy and well maintained, and totally separate for men and women. We left the restaurant with warm bellies...

A place for tourists. Food is good but the price is too high. I saw a waiter and a tour guide exchanging cash at the entrance. Not sure if tour guide will get commission on bringing customers in.

Ordered a set lunch of chicken and beef Kebabs. It also comes with the Egyptian salad. But drink is not included. A can of soda is $2 USD and the set lunch is 500 Egyptian...

Scam for tourists !!! They don’t give you a menu with prices. At the end, very bad surprise : 1800 pounds for 5 persons (3 adults and 2 childrens) for very basic food (one meal per people and 1 soft drink). If you are a tourist, DO NOT GO THERE , there is better and...
