On the trip to the Step Pyramid or the Pyramid of Zoser/Djoser, in Sakkara we stepped into this wonderful restaurant in Sakkara, for lunch. This seems to be a very popular place, both for tourists and the local population. We opted for the standard lunch, which was pretty filling. The eggplant dish was wonderful with fresh hot bread, so was the plate of rice with kebabs and grilled vegetables. The service was excellent, with polite, helpful and smiling staff. Flowers were everywhere with honey bees flying around. The washrooms were also clean, airy and well maintained, and totally separate for men and women. We left the restaurant with warm bellies...
