Food is good, tasty and menu is varied, although our sea bass came cooked with too much lime, the rest of our choices were ok. Not wow but it was an ok meal. They don’t offer glasses, only plastic cups and gave is 3 for 4 people and even if we asked the 4th cup, it never came, this will be explained as follows: Our disappointment came with the service. Staff is friendly and try their best but not enough. We went in the morning, asked if we needed to book they say no, it wasn’t fully booked. We came back in the evening and suddenly there were not available tables, they found us one not in the best spot but we were ok. The situation went uncomfortable went clients arrived for their Iftar. The staff and the captain became very stressed and started screaming at each other and running with trays everywhere. Not half restaurant full. I saw client from different tables walking after the waiters to ask for something as they were “very” busy and stressed running and screaming around and when you needed them they never see you calling them. They weren’t able to manage almost half occupation… Luckily our order came complete, but I actually ate nervous as they would be running and screaming, it wasn’t pleasant. They served all the observants first, even if they arrived after us. We respect the bookings and the observants, we live in Egypt and know the drill. But the stress of the staff was very unpleasant and unprofessional. Location is nice, place is outdated but this not a big deal, food is ok, staff should work on how to manage high picks of clients without...
Read moreShort version: Good view, average/good food (depending on what you order) very unhospitable (one waiter) and sluggish waiters (general attitude particularly the junior staff). We have visited the place several times mainly because of the view and not the food. Long version: We had to wait for 15 minutes in order to for the waiters to bring the menu in spite of the fact that it was not a very busy time. After placing our order, the waiter brought the bread basket and butter, but he did not bring any cutlery or plates so that can start eating. After waiting for 10 minutes to bring them, we asked him to bring the plates for the bread and he actually asked us why we need the plates?! As if it was not obvious. Imagine going to a restaurant and instead of automatically bringing plates and cutlery, you have to ask for them AND actually account for your of them!! The manager tried to laugh it off and said that the waiter was new. He only appologized when he realized that no one was laughing with him. It is such a sad thing because it has a good location, but the attitude of many of the staff members is not pleasant/hospitable. To be honest, some are good mainly the older staff, but the majority of the junior staff are not which is a problem because you deal witj them alot which results in delays in bringing the food/cutlery/drinks and removing plates and bringing the check so at the end you have to ask dismissive waiters for basic things which eventually ruins the experience. I hope they get their act together and train/properly select their...
