Scottish House — Restaurant in Keila linn

Came alone to have a dinner after a long day work. A restaurant called “Scottish House “ did not have an english speaking personnel, and russian they dont like. But that aside... I ordered a €8.50 rabbit with root veggies and a beer. After just 2-3 sips, in about 4 minutes I got this. It was clearly a pre-made and then heated dish. The rabbit didn’t look or tasted like one, more like some sort of chicken.. and veggies had a disgusting taste of a 2 day old boiled potato re-baked in the oven, carrots were like a jelly. of course I was very disappointed and asked to replace or cancel my dish. After a short discussion with the chef the waitress denied and asked to pay the bill. After My refusal the chef came and tried to convince me that this was a freshly made dish. None of my arguments worked on him.. at this point I received an important call which I had to take and went outside to have it, the chef followed me and threatened to call the police if I didn’t pay.. In the end I asked him if not to have my negative review worth €8.50, his response was I don’t care... the beer wasn’t that...

The Scottish House in Keila offers a truly delightful dining experience.

The restaurant itself is a work of art, a new building constructed in a classic Old English style that exudes charm. Parking is convenient, and the staff are warm and welcoming, contributing greatly to the overall positive atmosphere. But the real star is the food.

Our midday visit turned into a double feature, as we were so impressed with our lunch that we had to return for dinner. The menu offers a tempting selection of British pub favorites and Scottish specialties. We tried a range of dishes, from the comforting fish soup and crispy fish and chips to the elegant duck fillet and savory chicken pie. The desserts, a fondant cake and an ice cream cocktail, were the perfect finish.

Every dish was not only delicious but also presented with care. And all this at very reasonable prices. We can't recommend the Scottish...

Ambiance of the place is charming and food was quite good , but the service was beyond terrible ! Our server did not know what kind of food was in the kitchen or how was it prepared . When asked about the menu , our server replied “I don’t know “dismissively and repeatedly. She could not have been any more rude or disinterested . When we had asked for NO sauce , we received the dish prepared with double the sauce and when we pointed out the mistake , the sauce was wiped off the meat that was already served ! We were literally afraid to ask for anything after that . Definitely quite an unpleasant experience . Very sad , since it could have been a positive experience...
