We visited the restaurant on June 30th at 8:30 PM, and unfortunately, the entire experience was deeply disappointing – both in terms of service and food quality.
We were seated and handed menus, but then left waiting for a long time. Eventually, a rather abrupt server approached us. She was not a native Estonian speaker and seemed to have difficulty understanding our order. As a result, one of our appetizers – the tartare – was completely forgotten.
The first dish, the “Noorus platter for two” (€15.50), arrived quickly. It consisted of Italian ham, soft white cheese, lamb’s lettuce, balsamic vinegar, and crispy bread. However, everything was cold as if it had just been taken out of the fridge and carelessly thrown onto a plate. It lacked any sense of freshness or preparation. The server never asked how the food tasted, so we had no opportunity to give feedback.
When the server briefly returned to bring drinks, we asked her to serve the tartare together with the main course. However, she did not seem to understand and it became clear that the dish had been completely forgotten.
We then had to wait almost an hour for our main courses. During that time, the server completely ignored our table and offered no updates or explanations.
Eventually, both the long-forgotten tartare and the main dish – beef pasta – arrived together. Unfortunately, both were very poor in quality. The pasta was cold and resembled soy-sauce noodles rather than anything creamy or hearty. The beef was extremely dry, chewy, and flavorless. The tartare was even worse – it looked like plain raw ground meat with capers, mustard seeds, and some sort of sauce. It tasted awful and we couldn’t eat it. We were even concerned about the freshness and safety of the raw meat.
The service remained cold and inattentive until the end. As no one checked on us again, we had to go to the counter ourselves to pay. We ended up paying €44, and all of us left hungry and disappointed.
