Vaga Mama — Restaurant in Põltsamaa vald

Excellent food for an acceptable price. There's many surely very tasty items on the menu I was curious to try but I had difficulties even with the appetizer + main course - and I was hungry before! In other words the plate size was decent.

The serving was a tad overly fancy for the small box this restaurant is, but I suppose it's more about the effort to try and make it fancier - which stuck in my mind and so is noteworthy as good.

The music where I sat was a little on the loud side, but had I been there with somebody it'd probably be just the right volume to better mask speech to elsewhere whilst not disturbing our conversation.

Decorationwise this "box" was partially both pretty and dull - but again, there's been a clear effort made to make it look like more than it is.

All in all, for a tourist with the money to spend, Vaga Mama is well...

We visited with my family in the middle of July. The staff don’t speak Estonian and have a problem understanding English. We ordered food and drinks, we ordered two glasses of Prosecco and instead of Prosecco we got two espresso coffees. We had to drink them and when my girlfriend show them in the fridge what we wanted they refused to serve us two glasses of Prosecco since it wasn’t worth to open the bottle for only two glasses. On the menu it says you can order Prosecco per glass so don’t understand why they refuse to sell it. The food was terrible, meat was not fresh it was hard to chew both the chicken and beef. The naan bread was raw and greasy. Really bad experience.
