After 6 PM, there aren’t many options for dining out in Paide, so I was delighted to find this cozy spot tucked away on a small street just a few steps from the central square. It felt very welcoming, with beautifully set tables that can seat up to ten people, lots of art on the walls, and real roses on each table.
I understand that it’s tough to keep a business afloat in a small town, and that definitely showed in the prices. The food was beautifully presented — I especially liked the fancy little sprouts on top, which looked like they had their own stylist. Taste-wise, let’s just say it reminded me of my grandmother’s cooking — simple, and made with love (and probably a lot less salt or spices that I'm used to). Still, I couldn’t help thinking how nice it would be if the portions were about 20% bigger for a 20% smaller price. Or, you know, just a few more bites to keep both my stomach and my wallet...
