My wife and I scheduled the majority of our trip to the Baltics around dining at Soo staying at Maidla Nature Resort. 2 hours prior to dinner we received word from Maidla staff that the chef called in sick. In the middle of dinner, we got a private tour of the old historic mansion on the property – such a cool touch. Wine pairings were decent, somehow just 6/8 of the wines were sadly not pleasant to me personally. They did compliment the dishes well enough, but a little something was still missing for me.
Service was superb. Loved the presentations, the attitude, the rigor at the same time of also being pleasantly friendly. Perfect.
