The place is very beautiful, the food is delicious. However, the service leaves much to be desired. My group and I went to the restaurant and made an order. Since I don't eat large portions, I decided to order pasta from the children's menu. To which the waitress replied, "No, we won't sell you pasta from the children's menu because you are an adult." When I asked why, she said it was management's decision. When I asked to speak with a manager to try and find a solution, because I didn't want to order a full dish that I knew I wouldn't finish, she again said "no" and refused to call the manager. When asked again, she stated there was no manager present. Okay. I ordered a full portion. However, after this, the waitress continually ignored us, throughout the entire time, she pretended not to see us. I even had to go to the bar counter to pay the bill because the waitress didn't even intend to approach us. Such an attitude from the staff and administration absolutely does not fit with the restaurant's name "Dostoevsky". Or was it a performance entitled "Humiliated and Insulted"? :) P.S. Bill was...
Read moreWell, yes this place is new and has all these newcomers problems. We were there in Sunday afternoon, was very crowded.
We met following problems during our visit: waitress cannot say what table is not reserved and just left us we took menu ourselves and wait for a while for somebody stuff to come fire alarm bell rang for about 5 minutes pretty loud (before that we felt lack of ventilation, after alarm became better) restaurant run out of sugar, this was funny=)
Food: meet mix with chips was ok, but not good for beer, as chicken is kinda boiled; fried white fish was tasty, however portion of side salad wasn't big for that price; blueberry cake was good; coffee without sugar also was not bad=)
Interior: awesome views from windows and open air terrace strange composition of different styles inside
Table service, that is something that should be definitely improved. I really wish good luck to this place, and hope everything will be much better in the future. For now it is only 4 star, one out for...
Read moreWe came to this pub at 21.30. There was quite a lot of customers already. I went to the toilet just to discover that it was just disgusting. We found our place outside and went inside to make and order for some small food and drinks. We went to the desk. We was first in the que. There was 4 stressed waitresses behind the desk, nobody even looked at us to ask what we wanted to order. Behind the desk there was a lot of dirty dish-wash and place looked chaotic. Then we asked if we could be served. Answer was NO WE DO NOT SERVE OUTSIDE ANY LONGER...the waitress so rudely ..... 1,5 hours before closing....no service. Disappointed we went out....just to see that they still served other people outside. I have been traveling a lot, been in many countries and visited similar pubs both in Great Britain and Europe, this is just on the lowest range. If I could give -5 star I would make. Will tell at TripAdvisor that this is just awful place to go. With this behavior from waitress, this place will be bankrupt...
