Hungry Papa — Restaurant in Tallinn

We went here out of curiosity and are so happy with the food and service that I am prompted to write my first google restaurant review. First off, the place has a cozy and relaxed vibe. We went on a Friday night (today) and that was great because the place usually has more people when we pass by on other days. The server/cashier was attentive and helpful (without being too much). We were given menus as soon as we were seated, given enough time to decide on our order (they have a menu in both English and Estonian), and was served our food and drinks in the right way (drinks first, then food, and the lady is served first).

The servings look exactly the same as in their photos online and are very generous. The venison burger has no game-y scent/smell and was so tasty. The retro burger was perfectly done. The sweet potato fries was out of this world amazing. I made the mistake of getting a large for the fries and it was HUGE (like väga suur for real!). Their iced coffee got the perfect balance of slight sweetness, deep-chocolatey bitterness, and caffeine kick. Their regular fries and alcoholic drinks were also good (according to my husband). We will surely be back to try what others raved about in their reviews.

Special mention to the guy who served our food and making sure I was also included in the conversation by speaking in English and asking how was the food etc. The place felt welcoming without being overwhelming (great for introverts). I was speechless enjoying everything so couldn't say much while eating so just went here in google to leave...

We came to this place on a friday evening. Only one table was taken, We took a place by the window. We ordered two burgers- original and chicken, a big plate of sweet potatoes and a tropical lemonade. The food arrived very fast. The burgers were fresh and tasty, the lemonade was tasty but perhaps too sweet, sweet potatoes are always great.

The interior of the place is great: modern and lively, very nice atmosphere. I couldn’t really figure out the concept of the place: they had music disks and instruments, pictures of superhero’s like hulk, Harry Potter toys, recycled furniture, etc., nevertheless the design is lovely, modern and very pleasant. I especially liked metal plates and cups on which the food is served.

The service was fast and polite. The prices are moderate, we paid for our order around 30 eur.

Хочу поделиться, нашим сегодняшним походом в HUNGRY PAPA . Заказала я 8 числа столик на 13число ,что бы посидеть с семьёй и отметить праздник. Всё замечательно, приходим в назначенное время, нас встречает девушка и с порога говорит , пиццы сегодня нет и ретро бургера тоже. Мы не расстроились особо так как готовы были на гамбургеры. Выбрали себе гамбугрегы и детям пасту из детского меню. Подходит девушка принимать заказ , мы просим пасту и в ответ слышим, а пасты нет. Тогда мы решаем уйти , так как это для нас уже был перебор, мы забронировали столик заранее, к нам присоединилась семья наших знакомых. У нас семья большая из 6 человек и у друзей 4 человека. На что мы говорим девушке о нашем решении, она начинает хамить, кричать и называть нас конченными, с кухни выходит молодой человек, спрашивает,что случилось, я объясняю ситуацию. И говорю что мы хотим уйти так как нас не могут впринципе ничем накормить. И тут молодой человек начинает орать, хамить. Вылетает с агрессией из за барной стойки подлетев ко мне и мужу с криками убирайтесь вон. Я предположила что он сейчас прямо физически будет нас выпроваживать. Я об этом у него спросила, на что он мне ответил, я хочу помочь вам убраться из заведения. А мы так то на минутку и так уходили, просто не могли это сделать за секунду, так как одевали маленьких детей. Мужчина орал нам ,что логично же что если нет пиццы, то и пасты нет. Мне , обычному человеку это совсем не логично и я даже об этом не думаю, когда бронирую стол желая провести время за ужином в ресторане. Ещё официантка посоветовала нам , штудировать болт и волт перед тем как приходить в какие либо заведения покушать🤦‍♀️. Вообщем мы ушли и праздник был испорчен, пришлось искать срочно место...
