Musta Täku Tall — Restaurant in Tapa vald

I know this isn't a fancy restaurant etc but still the food should be good for those prices. I visited this place about 9 years ago maybe....and nothing has changed....only the furniture has been repainted (and not very well). The FOOD: we ordered pork, differently done and flavored. At first everything looked good but after you hit the meat with the fork....oh so over cooked, it was so dry :( And even the potatoes were not cooked through (but outside was so nice and golden brown). Because we were hungry, we ate all and left with full bellies, but I'm not sure if I can recommend this place to my friends. At 11 euros, I can get much better pork (even in big cities). So if someone is reading this, who works there.... please tell the cooks that pork was so over...

Huvitav miljöö vanast hobutallist tehtud söögikoht Musta Täku Tall. Menüüd veebist ei leidnud. Hinnad mõistlikud portsjonid suured. Teenindaja pigem nipsakas. Seente ja kadakajuustuga üleküpsetatud seakarbonaad oli maitsev, kuid väga mage. Lisandina juurde pandud sibulamoos oli ootamatult serveeritud külmana. Seafilee medaljon maitsev, kuid samuti mage ja kuiv. Prael oleks juures võinud olla kaste. Lisandina pakutud sinepisest kurgisalatist sinepi hõngu ei tundnud, ainult sibulat ja äädikat. Kokkuvõttes keskpärane kogemus. An interesting milieu made of an old horsestable name of establishement Musta Täku Tall. No menu was found on the web. Prices reasonable portions hugh. The waitress was rather arrogant and cheeky. The pork chop with mushrooms and juniper cheese was delicious but needed salt, it was tasteless. The onion jam added as an accompaniment was unexpectedly served cold. Pork fillet medallion delicious, but also needed salt and sauce.The mustard cucumber salad offered as an additive did not feel the mustard at all, only the onions and vinegar. All in all a...

At day time it's great place to have a lunch. Waiting time was bit long but food was fresh and tasted good. Menu is long and there's something for everyone. Bit pricey though. Price level same as Tallinn midtown pubs. Weekends they have usually live bands, then it's more like mixfure of beerhouse...
