Fish an Chips — Restaurant in Miðvágur

Chips were semi crisp, but…

1. it was frozen fish! On Faroe, you should be able to expect fresh fish.
2. it was NOT good! The fish itself was okay, but the batter fell off & wasn’t crispy. Don’t know what the other reviewers are comparing it to, but it isn’t at all up to British/Scottish fish & chip standards.
3. he won’t let you order what you want! I just wanted fish & he wouldn’t let me so I ended up paying extra for salad that I didn’t want because he insisted on charging me for a small fish & chips instead of two extra fish (my hubby got a full meal so they would have been add ones to his). Something about too big for his box, but not big enough for a small box? Totally ridiculous given the high prices (of everything in Faroe, not just...

We never expected such great food in a such unremarkable little food shop between the houses, but it was the best burger and fish & chips we ever ate in any place we've been around the world. He was so nice, gave tips about what we can do on the faroe islands and the extra bonus, when we ordered fish & Chips, he added some extra onion rings and a Fried shirmp.
