Chinastar Hotel & Restaurant — Restaurant in Nett

I have travelled to over 160 countries and I have never experienced such bad behaviour. When I checked out on Monday morning, I tried to pay by card, but the machine was locked in the restaurant next door and the people at reception didn't have access to it. I didn't have enough cash as all the ATMs in town were empty when I tried to get more on Sunday afternoon. My guide said this often happens at weekends. Remember to bring enough cash when you visit. As I was a bit late and had to check in at the airport, I just left and said they were protected by booking.com. That's one of the reasons I usually book through them. And I said that if all else failed, I could do a bank transfer. At the airport I went through check-in, immigration and security and then the owner came and said they wanted to escort me back to the hotel to pay. I said I was not leaving the airport. I offered them a mixture of $ and €, all I had left in cash. The airport police got involved while we argued. Eventually I let them take a picture of my credit card and we agreed they could take the money. Now I'm nervous about what's going to happen. I was so frustrated and humiliated. What I liked: The location is 100m off the airport, so very convenient when you arrive or depart. They also house the islands only Chinese restaurant on the ground floor.

What I didn't like: My first room didn't have bed linen applied - something I found out around midnight when I was going to bed. I was offered the room next door that had linen, yet here we're no towels. No problem, I brought the ones (without stains) from the other room. The. Next morning as I was to take a shower I find a computer backpack hanging from the faucet. Seriously?! Makes me wonder if (and how) these rooms are being cleaned.. not good enough. I also tried the restaurant and theie fridge was on minimum cool so you got nothing but lukewarm drinks. Not ok in the heat. I also had the sweet and sour pork which turned out to be exactly that and nothing more. Some slices of pork with sweet and sour sauce. No vegetables, no nothing except a bowl of rice. Would not...

I stayed in 305 at this place, it has 3 floors. The room had a nice shower though, hot water. There is a water dispenser in each hallway floor and they give you a bottle of water when you check-in, i guess refill when you need water. It's oriental styled-ish. It's not an extravagant place but the bed and the room was clean, sheets, towels were clean.Smoke free. I was there only for a night so it did it's job. The place just looks like it needs a little TLC throughout. There is also a bar and restaurant in the same building. I came after 2pm when it closes to prep for dinner and I slept until 4am for my flight, so i didn't really get to experience...
