THIS IS A VERY RACIST INSTITUTION!!! BEWARE!!! I am a solo traveler in Fiji on a work trip who is BLACK/AFRICAN. I came here for some drinks to cool off in the sunset and enjoy the scenery when I had the worst experience. While drinking, I could see other guests walking around exploring the left wing of the marina (the side without the boats) and when I asked my waiter if I could go there, he said “of course…let me open the gate for you”. (The gate is just a waist length bamboo fence). On approaching the fence, I heard his manager telling him something in their dialect and the next thing the waiter turned to me to say “Uhm…ma’am I don’t know my manager said I should not let you in”. I was like “why??? I can see other guests going in so why is he saying that I can’t?” The waiter responded “I don’t know why, people go in here but I don’t know why he told me not to let you in. If you saw other people going in then I’ll let you in”. He then proceeded to open the gate for me to proceed. Although the waiter salvaged the embarrassing situation, the manager’s attempt to stop him from letting me in left a really bad taste in my mouth for the rest of the evening. On leaving, I told the waiter that THIS IS DISCRIMINATION AND IT IS OUTRIGHTLY DISGUSTING! Coming from Fijians who are also black makes it even more disgusting. I will also call in and make sure due process follows for how I was treated. I have added a photo of myself so when I call, your staff will know...
Read more10/11/24 - Quality of food was absolutely pathetic. Not sure whats wrong or if its a new chef, but everything we ordered was downright disgusting. Used to love this place and frequently eat here but this will be the last. The prawn Laksa over here used to be my favorite item on the menu but today it was inedible. Felt like the chef dropped an entire packet of curry powder in the soup and was least bothered to correct it. Quality of seafood in the laksa below par as well. Fish and Chips: for $32.50 you expect a decent portion but it came with 2 sad dry excuses of fish fillets. It was 4x4cm at max and felt like chewed on cardboard dipped in ultra-thick batter. Appetizer: Roti Canai at $17.50 was nothing more than a $1 butter roti you would find at the bus stand.
Service; yes the food wait time has always been 45mins-1hour, but the good quality of food previously would redeem that, but what we had today makes me regret coming here in the first place.
I hope they fix their quality of food soon. Save your money, time, and peace of mind and stay far away...

Bar and restaurant were busy, but staff handled our sitting and orders well in the busy place. Playpark off to the side meant the kids had something to do, and kept the noise away from diners in the main bar area where we sat. Ordered salads which were well prepared, very fresh and plentiful. Ordered Grilled Pesto Vegetable Salad and the Caesar Salad with prawns, with a Kokoda to start, more than enough for 3 of us for lunch. Highly recommend a jug of the Local Bush Lime juice for a great drink accompaniment, but ask for the sugar on the side, as it can be over sweet for many of us. Bar are very happy to oblige :) Hanging out here watching the boats and yachts come and go had us hang our longer and have a few glasses of wine and bottles of beer to waste away the afternoon. Highly recommended for a relaxing afternoon...
