Alby's Artisan Pizza. A new 'artisanal' pizzeria among others in the area between Lohuela and Myyrmääki. How is it different from the other pizzerias, one wonders. First: Alberto is an Italian pizza maker, originally from Lazio (Central Italy) who graduated from the Italian Academy of Pizza Makers in Rome and as a professional registered with API, the Italian Pizzeria Association. Both of these institutions have a very high standard, guarantees of the high professionalism of those who are part of them. He worked around Europe accumulating experience and then landed here in Finland. We specify that his style is not 'Neapolitan', but in Italy the best 'pizza philosophies and schools' are notoriously those of Naples and Rome. So Alberto makes pizzas that don't have the wide 'cornice' typical of Neapolitan pizzas, but leaves more space for toppings, always well balanced and never excessive. Artisanal pizzas precisely, because Alberto is very serious about the origin and authenticity as well as the freshness of the products used in his creations: rigorously all from Italy and there is absolutely no frozen food. In conclusion, at Alby's Artisanal Pizza you can enjoy a healthy product, well leaven and therefore very digestible and with balanced ingredients, never oily. And if you love to 'load' your pizza, Alby is absolutely attentive to the needs of his customers. but don't ask him too exotic things: he is faithful only to the Italian style. I ate well. One of three of us is celiac. the owner very kindly and apologetically explained to us that his lab is too small to guarantee no gluten contamination. Wow! That pizza maker is a true professional. Than we bought two pizzas from him and then went looking for a pizza place that could guarantee us a gluten-free pizza to our friend. In our apartment, we heated the three pizzas, first the gluten-free one and then the others, as the italian pizzamaker recommended we do (no microwaves!). The pizzas were tasty. Read moreThis is, by orders of magnitude, the best pizza in Western Vantaa, no questions asked. We tried the seasonal “Boscaiola”, with mushrooms and sausage, like, proper, Italian ‘salsiccia’, which is leagues above any kind of sausage ever. The crust was perfect, both flavors were spot on. I’ve been physically there to pick them up and it felt like I was transported back home, the only thing missing was a random football match on their TVs.
