I don't write often... but when there is something special and nobody else dining with (and writing review) - I just have to write. And today I really "discovered" this place that had it all that I had to write.
This is as authentic Pakistani cuisine you can find in Finland. They are not being too shy about using spices, which is exactly how it should be in my opinion. Keep the flavors as authentic as possible. For example the chicken Biryani that was in this lunch buffet today - it was really good and spices were used in perfection to give nice balanced flavors, while not being too spicy in my opinion. It trickered all those nice memories I have had eating great biryani either in some Asian countries (India and Malaysia mainly) or in London in some actually good similar places (not those that were altered to British flavors).
And all this for very decent price. So do not hesitate to make adventure to this place, that is off the beaten track.
I could not recommend this place enough, especially if you are looking for proper...
Read moreMasala House in Espoo is a hidden gem for authentic Pakistani cuisine. Conveniently located with free parking nearby, this restaurant offers not just amazing food but also exceptional service. The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home.
We started with the Chicken Karahi which was bursting with flavor. The Chicken Tikka was another highlight; it was the most authentic Pakistani BBQ Iâve tasted in Finland, perfectly spiced and grilled to perfection.
The Curry Pakoda was decent but the true star of the meal was the Nihari. Cooked lovingly by the ownerâs mother over 7-8 hours, this dish was simply outstanding. The meat was incredibly tender and the spices were perfectly balanced, creating a deep, rich flavor that left us wanting more.
Overall, Masala House is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Pakistani food. Highly recommended!
Honestly we could not take much pictures as we were really hungry and jumped to food...
Read moreVisited yesterday, thoroughly disappointed. The customer service was pathetic, arrogant, embarrassing, neglecting already sitting customers, requests were ignored multiple times, his behavior was totally unprofessional.
The food was equally disappointing. The halwa poorri, which I was excited to try, was undercooked and doughy, lacking the crispiness, halwa lacked the authentic flavor. Nehari also lacked the authenticity, no taste, just the meat with thick gravy. Naans were not fresh and same thing just underdone. It looks like they mixed something artificial in mango lassi as well. The preparation and quality were clearly substandard, making the meal a waste of time and money.
Overall, the staff failed to deliver on both service and food quality. Poor customer service and undercooked dishes left me frustrated and regretful, won't recommend to anybody, People should look elsewhere for a better...
