I wish I could say I had a pleasant experience with Restaurant Pepino as loyal customer of three years, but unfortunately, it was the complete opposite today. From the start, it felt like we were being ignored by the staff as we were placing our order over the phone; server was distracted and did not listen well leading to mistakes in our order.
When the food was delivered, the delivery person banged on our door violently until we answered, then left so quickly we didn’t even get a chance to address the missing item. So, we decided to call the restaurant back to inform them and give some feedback, politely requesting a price breakdown for clarity.
This, however, was taken completely the wrong way. Instead of addressing our concerns professionally, the owner accused us of suggesting he was trying to "rob" us, which we never implied, and then proceeded to throw a tantrum and lecture us over the matter, not even letting us complete our sentences. It does not help that his Finnish was limited, made all the more an issue by his petulance making it even harder for us to explain to him what the matter was.
When we tried to bring up his poor service and attitude, he dismissed us, gloating that he had too many customers to care about our complaint and that he did not "need" our feedback or business. This kind of attitude was both shocking and incredibly unprofessional to customers who have patronised his business for as long as we have.
If you’re looking for a restaurant that values its long-time customers, this isn’t it. This experience left a sour taste in our mouths—not because of the food, which is quite well done, but because of the attitude and service abilities of its supposed owner.
This is extremely disappointing to us, as we have not seen such terrible service in all the three years we have patronised them, and quite appreciated their food and convenient location. Patronise at your own risk, if you like delivery men treating your door like the CIA would a criminal's and owners screaming at you like a 2 year old over the slightest bit of feedback.

Read moreThe place looks very humble from the outside but is very lovely and inviting from the inside. I ordered the fish and chips and the food was mouth watering! It was very delicious. One thing I should say if you plan on coming here with someone with limited mobility, there is just a staircase up to the restaurant. But would a 100% recommend to anyone and everyone. The place is good for children as well. There is a playroom for them. The food is also...
