Thai Burpha Restaurant — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

This restaurant is popular but we were not impressed. Very unfriendly/rude waitress. She got my Finnish husband's order wrong and so we paid 11e for some fried rice with a bit of soy sauce and hardly any meat or vegetables in it. I noticed that they use chicken from Thailand and it has an off taste to it (my dish was red curry chicken). I could see into the kitchen and I also noticed that they use ready made thai pastes that you can buy from any Asian store here. So you can decide whether it is authentic or not. But the food is very mediocre and you will wait a long time. I noticed many customers were getting impatient with the long wait. I don't know how this place is so popular, maybe because there are no better options in the area. Instead, if you want a more authentic and higher quality Asian restaurant try Onnelinen Lintu in Lähderänta. There they do not use any ready made pastes I...

I genuinely don't understand how people have given this place four-star-ratings. I visited the restaraurant for lunch and was disappointed by the quality/taste of food. Could not spot any fresh herbs in the dishes and the taste profiles were dominated by oil/fat. I have eaten at other Thai restaurants before and this was totally unlike any of them. Or maybe the food is just too much adjusted to the local taste.

The one star is due to the summer rolls (which were quite good imo). Otherwise, I wouldn't have given any stars at all.

Oy is a lunch place in the middle of nowhere. Initially family held place with authentic Thai food. For a lunch place the food is very really great. But beware, although it says the lunch is till 15:00, if you come 14:30 most likely they will be already finished. Also the food is spicy, but there are always less spicy options available as well.
