Ravintola Sawohouse — Restaurant in Kuopio sub-region

We needed a nice place to stay one night and this was really good choice. Sawo House is close to highway and very easy to drive but like others has said the traffic noise does not bother. The check in was really nice as the host showed us to our room and he also suggested the new hotel restaurant. It had opened just a week ago and it is nice and there is also big terrace. We were thinking something small to eat, but when we saw their gourmet burgers we decided to try and it was freshly made and tasty. We stayed in a family room with two cosy bedrooms, very comfortable and clean. A kitchen and small living room combined, everything brand new and well functioning. The place itself is very easy to reach and nicely surrounded in nature.|Felt like at home. We arrived very late, keep in mind the reception is open till 9pm, unfortunately we were not aware, but they called us and very kindly offered a way to settle us. When you arrive, Sawohouse may not look like a traditional hotel. The buildings are surrounding a nice courtyard and there is also a large summer terrace. Staff is really friendly and takes time to pay attention to their guests. The room was quite simple but very clean and peaceful. It also had an own entrance. The breakfast was tasty and generous.
