Turo's Holy Smoke — Restaurant in Pori sub-region

We had burgers after a long bicycling trip. After trading the reviews of the Holy Smoke, my expectations were high. The atmosphere was brilliant, the sun was shining and everything looked good. At the counter the person could not describe the portions well, and we decided to go with Google recommended burgers.

The burgers came, and they looked fantastic. A bite of lemon-parmesan salad side dish gave an idea, that the burger must be as good as well. The burger, first bite and what a disappointment. The sauces were pretty dull. And the meat, it should be a criminal case if you kill a cow, grind the meat and then you dry it in the barbeque. I hoped it would have been only problem of my burger,but it was a problem in all 4 of our burgers. Also the meat seems not to be spiced. Even kids skipped...

Turo’s Holy Smoke is indeed a holy place for culinarily enjoyments at Reposaari. So first of all the location is unique, and worth going for a walk and admiration of houses and the village that used to be an island.

The place itself is cozy, and the service is outstanding. The brewery products are just the perfect choice for the best thing imaginable: the brisket. I could not believe the fact that Texas-style brisket can be served in Finland. It indeed is very much alike! Mouth-feel being also top of the line. Not to forget the mac & cheese, that blew me away.

From the outside, at first glance, it is an ordinary building, which does not say that you will have a great gastronomic experience here. The interior inside is very interesting. The service was nice and very friendly (English is not a problem either). I ordered the Cajun-Ravut (shrimps) 🍤 as an appetizer and the Smoked Brisket Burger 🍔 as my main course. Unfortunately, it was full inside, so I sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Even though it was quite full, the food was brought to me quite quickly.
