Mustion Linna - Svartå Slott - Mustio Manor — Restaurant in Raseborg Sub-Region

Mustio manor is a beautiful historic building and it also has a hotel and restaurant in the premises. The manor itself is an 18th century wooden 3 story wooden building. We took a tour of it with a very knowledgeable and interesting tour guide and enjoyed it very much. Taking a tour is the only way to see and visit the manor house.||We also stayed in the hotel. The room was good in size and the bed was comfortable, but there was a musty smell in the bathroom and somewhat also in the room and the corridor and the room had been last decorated probably about 25 years ago. You could also hear talking from the other rooms, but otherwise the surroundings were nice and quiet. It is to be noted that the hotel rooms are located in several different buildings, this review only applies to our room in the Edelfelt building near the manor house. ||We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was very good and well presented, and the service was friendly. The restaurant building was nice and cozy. The breakfast was a bit too simple and we would have wanted to see a bit more choice of bread and also cheese, ham and jam.||The grounds were gorgeous and very big, so it was ideal for a stroll in the park in the evening and in...

Mustio manor house is among the largest manor houses in Finland, and due to language differences called also castle. The venue is located 70km & 45 minutes drive from Helsinki. The manor house is well renovated and maintained, and guided tours are highly recommended (book advance) The park area surrounding is breathtaking. The restaurant building is cozy, service very smooth and professional and food taste and presentation wise very good. Reception staff was also friendly and professional. The rooms are located in different building but only few minutes walk from the reception and restaurant. Our rooms was quite basic, and the quality of decoration and equipment was quite low (i.e. the smallest wall mounted tv screen I have ever seen i the hotel room). The castle/old manor house feeling is lacking and you felt like staying at motel. Sound proofing s non existing, and hence ear plugs are standard equipment in the room.
