Jolie Lounge & Café — Restaurant in Tunturi-Lapin seutukunta

Had probably the worst experience ever today at Jolie Lounge with my 3 children. This was based on the prejudice and discriminative attitude of the restaurant and the customers. I cannot understand why you continuously advertise in the UK for people to ‘visit Lapland’ and then when we book and pay the premium to come we are treated with such disrespect by establishments such as Jolie Lounge. Having to explain to my children what the people in the restaurant were saying and explain what being discriminated against is was not a conversation I wanted to have in Lapland visiting Santa. I would never treat anyone from a visiting country like this. Do yourself a favour and if you want to see Santa visit Levi, they are much more friendly and welcoming. Oh and the coffee...

Lovely lunch caffee in Äkäslompolo with a small but attractive menu of lunch options, cakes and coffee at an affordable price. They have good selection of vegan foods and interesting cakes, like chocolate and parsnip (not my favourite), coffee and potato (good) or vegan cheescake (very good). It's at a good location between ski routes, near the Nature centre and ski lifts. The place has a nice atmosphere, indie rock music on the background. Upon our arrival in Äkäslompolo, following an overnight train journey from Helsinki to Kolari, Jolie served as our first dining experience.
