We came because of the great reviews. This was the worst food experience we have had in Champagne. It seems our server has had bad experiences with non French-speaking customers. We tried our best to order in French and follow along with her questions, despite her speaking English perfectly fine. We were immediately given the cold shoulder and ignored throughout the meal, despite being polite and patient with the service. After waiting over 40 minutes with the waitress passing us, glaring, and not taking our empty plates, I got up to find her and ask for the bill, in a gentle tone, and her response was “I WILL HELP YOU WHEN I AM FINISHED, I AM NOT FREE NOW.” She wouldn’t even look up at me throughout the request. She just kept passing us glaring afterwards. We were scared to even comment on how our meal went…but honestly, the food was hit and miss. The starters are nice, but one of the mains we had, which was beef, was so tough to chew, we just watched others across the restaurant struggle and touch their jaws, who ordered the same dish. The fish mains are bland, and needed more seasoning, but given our server already hated us for existing, we couldn’t fathom asking for salt or pepper.
Honestly one of the worst food experiences we have ever had. Do not come if you don’t speak French. Do not come here if you are looking to feel welcome and comfortable. There are some amazing restaurants in Champagne with wonderful hosts who will welcome you despite where you come from, this is...

We had the most disappointing experience at this restaurant.
When I asked if they could make a vegetarian meal, the waitress said the only option was a plate of plain vegetables. So definitely not vegetarian friendly. The service was bad both as to delivery and attitude. The cheeseboard was a child portion. The steak was rubbery.
At the end of the meal, we asked if they could call us a taxi. The waitress frowned and said, ‘Our taxi is on holiday.’ She eventually called one, but had agreed €120 for just a 15km or 30 euro ride, which was outrageous.
If you value your money and time, strongly encourage you to...
Read moreA true hidden gem in Champagne, right in the heart of Bouzy. Yes, it’s a small detour from Reims, but 100% worth it.
Fresh ingredients every time, excellent service, and a wine list with prices that make you want to go for a magnum — or two bottles. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, the kind of place local winemakers themselves love.
Laura and Geoffrey make you feel at home, and their “Menu à la Découverte de la Champagne” is simply amazing — a must-try! Thank you for your warm hospitality — I’m already looking forward to...
