La Pointe du Hourdel — Restaurant in Abbeville

After use of their toilet, we ordered drinks (reglement). We couldn’t sit outside because of lunchtime and a waitinglist. It took some time before they came to take our order. In the meantime, while settling in, we decided to order some food for our kids (kids menu). We couldn’t eat at the place we where seated but also needed to wait until a table was free, While being in the establishment?

After changing seats they told us they would come take our order. That took more dan 10’min. They didn’t offer the drink that was included in the meal, but we still had some so decided to leave it until the current ones where finished. Luckily food came quick and our kids enjoyed the food. Even while being fed up because of the long wait. After lunch we needed to wait almost 20min to order desert. my wife decided to place the order at the bar herself. The waiters ignored us en preference to help the local and French costumers. We decided not to wait for a waiter for the check but paid at the bar. We didn’t place a second drinking order and When we asked if we could place the drink, we did order, under the kids menu, they declined.

The restaurant is located in a prime spot between the sea and the parking. a lot of tourists come to eat or drink something after watching te seals or Hike on the beach. They didn’t feel able to deal with the lot. Very disappointing...

During lunchtime, the restaurant was quite busy, and the staff seemed overwhelmed. There were many dirty dishes left on the bar area. We ordered a salad but received a different dish, and instead of a café latte, we were served a café crema. Most of the waiters did not speak English, which may have contributed to the miscommunication. Although the prices were high, the food quality was very good — the fish and chips, as well as the other dishes, were tasty and made with fresh ingredients. the place is with a nice view and...

En ce jour magnifique du 12 juillet 2025, sommes allés à la pointe du HOURDEL et sommes allés prendre un verre au bar La Pointe du Hourdel en terrasse. Avons été reçus par une jeune dame châtain foncé d une amabilité à fuire !!! Pas de bonjour, lui avons dit bonjour elle n a même pas pris la peine de nous répondre et a pris la commande d une façon désinvolte. Ensuite, avons connu la vie d'une serveuse blonde qui saoulait et qui s est montrée à mon goût très désagréable en faisant une remontrance sur la façon de faire à une autre petite jeune fille qui faisait ses premiers pas dans le métier en lui indiquant qu il fallait qu elle fasse regler le client dès la commande passée (chose que l on ne fait pas devant le client quand on a un peu de décence...!!!). La prochaine fois, nous passerons ce bar. Sommes conscients qu il est compliqué de recruter dans ce secteur mais il y a des limites. Par contre, félicitations au jeune garçon qui était present qui lui est fait pour...
