The last time we went to this restaurant it was okay but not phenomenal anyway we thought we would give it another chance. I was really disappointed,we decided to eat al la carte which was probably an error but we weren't sure we could manage the quantities in the set menus. I decided to have what I understood to be prawn cocktail Even my O level French remembered crevette is French for prawn. Also I am from Essex so I know what is supposed to be in a prawn cocktail. However there was these weird fishy slithers in it which at first I though might be octopus but my husband identified as crab sticks plus potato cubes. I send it back and they just bought the same thing without the lettuce, it was shocking! Optimistic I moved onto the next course grilled sole with vegetables. Well the sole was un cooked on the underside, the broccoli has clearly been on fire, so I was only able to eat the upper side of this dish. Feeling still hungrey at the end of the meal. I reached for the bread rolls which had accompanied my husbands meal and they were wet inside clearly had been defrosted. I can get better French meals in London! Appalling, they definitely won't be getting a third chance. We went for dinner and did not stay at the hotel so cannot...
Read moreQuite attractive auberge in the countryside, but nowhere near a dune. The room was average with a small shower in the bathroom. There was no air conditioning, so we had to sleep with the windows open and the shutters closed - luckily the road outside was not busy at night. All the bedding was made with nylon type man-made fabric, that is quick for the hotel to wash and dry but very uncomfortable on a hot night.|The bar was convenient with outside seating. The restaurant seemed quite good but I made the mistake at the time of booking of taking up their special offer of demi-pension. The dinner was the cheapest menu on offer with no choice for any of the three courses. The entree and the main course were both inexpensive fish dishes - unfortunate if one did not like fish! It did not seem to be a special offer as the individual parts added up the what we paid, and although the inexpensive fish course was well cooked there were much better food choices on the other...
Read moreReception were not very welcoming. I had booked a twin as travelling with a friend, and we were given a double. We were moved to a small room where by removing the bedside shelves from the headboard the beds could be pushed apart. The bathroom absolutely stank. A lovely girl quickly sorted it out but said that was what happened when it rained....so knowing that it should have been checked. The parking is good, the bar area and restaurant look lovely. It is some way out of Le Crotoy in a very quiet hamlet so peaceful. Nice patio outside for a sundowner. We had a very disappointing meal in the restaurant as the salt marsh lamb was tough with grisly sinewy fat. Check your bill carefully as we were charged 26 € for breakfast we never had. Not the usual standard for a Logis. All in all...
