We often recommend this restaurant to people visiting the region but will not be doing so after our latest experience. Firstly, the restaurant is in a lovely setting and to sit outside on the terrace on a summers evening is really a great experience. The service is good with detailed explanations of all the dishes.

The food on the other hand on this occasion was disappointing and not up to the standards you would expect for the price. The starter was a cold salmon dish which was beautifully presented and tasty except for the wasabi sorbet which was tasteless and watery and melted on the dish watering down the other lovely flavours. My husband's main course was magret. It was tasty but it seemed not to have been freshly cooked as it was pink but had an overcooked texture. My main course was not pleasant, it was a raw fish dish with lentils, croutons and a sauce. The dish was served cold. The lentils were incredibly salty, overpowering the fish. The croutons were burnt black and tasted extremely bitter which tainted the whole dish. I did mention this to the owner but he wasn't particularly interested. The dessert was delicious and beautifully presented. As always the little extras (amuse buches and little chocolate and drink at the end of the meal) were great but they do not really make up for the disappointing...

I found this place outstanding.

They serve really fine gourmet French cuisine with touches of Asia. Even the kid's dishes are fine and nicely dressed.

There was a house aperitif made with rhum, white wine and raspberry, it was delicious (as an amateur of cocktails, that's not a mix I would have done). There is a variety of wines by the glass, which the owner happily accommodates to your dish - and they're quite good.

On est allé pour un repas du soir et c’était une sortie improvisée mais pour une grande occasion le jour même. Malheureusement on est venu avec les enfants et cet endroit ne s’apprête pas du tout aux jeunes public. Le service désagréable et mettant réellement mal à l’aise. J’ai cherché et tenté à plusieurs reprises de trouver une solution pour les enfants pour éviter de payer un menu à au-delà de 40€, car je savais pertinemment qu’ils n’allaient pas apprécier à la juste valeur les assiettes gastronomique. La serveuse buttait sur la question, restait insensible à notre demande, après la demande en cuisine elle a proposé un magret de canard pour mon fils, mais au prix d’un menu. Au final, une facture de 170€ pour un repas que nous avons attendu trop longtemps et les enfants n’ont pas apprécié. L’ambiance sombre, éclairée avec la lampe Fermob au dessus de notre table à été également le point faible car je déteste de ne pas voir ce que j’ai dans l’assiette. Bref une expérience bien décevante et beaucoup plus chère de ce que nous avons attendu au retour, même si l’expérience reste parfaitement maîtrisée côté cuisine gastronomique. A very nice place to eat outside of Agen. The people are very nice and welcoming and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The food was very good although not always to my taste, very nicely done. Slightly expensive but definitely worth going!

Je me souvenais d’un lieu agréable et de bons plats Le lieu est identique Nous avons pris place dans la salle « haute » L’endroit est magnifique J’ignore qui est en cuisine mais une chose est sûr c’est un grand artiste, un Paul Bocuse en devenir Un grand amoureux de son métier Un vrai passionné Les plats ne sont pas bons Ils sont excellents Ils ne sont pas beaux Ce sont des œuvres d’art Subtil mélanges de saveurs c’est une explosion en bouche Bravo à toute l’équipe Nous avons passé une excellente soirée Nous reviendrons très rapidement

A very nice place to eat outside of Agen. The people are very nice and welcoming and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The food was very good although not always to my taste, very nicely done. Slightly expensive but definitely worth going!
