Logis Hôtel Déjeunez sous l'Arbre — Restaurant in Aix-en-Provence

We stayed in a ‘signature’ room in the new part. Outside still resembles a building site. ||||I’m giving it 1 star as the room had only 2 tiny bedside lights and a desk lamp. Not one room light. We couldn’t see anything in the evening. Other than that the room is quite well appointed. ||||Bathroom and toilet both very well lit and well appointed. ||||Breakfast: room devoid of any charm. Big range of food but I didn’t find any of it inviting. Cold scrambled eggs. ||||Better option: Make it simple: 3 top quality breads, top-quality croissants, yogurt butter and jam plus steaming hot tea and coffee. You can only make tea with boiling water. ||||Restaurant: 1 star ||||3 chefs/kitchen staff outside smoking and laughing when we arrived. ||||The food arrived 5 mins after we ordered so not cooked to order. Linguini with cepe not hot, had hardly any cepe and was ‘gluggy’. Bread v average quality, not worth eating. ||||Room and service nice but orange flashing mood lights could give some...

Bit mixed feelings. Restaurant was closed , so no review regarding that part. Breakfast was just fine for us, choices were ok, not overdone. However no breakfast on Monday and served the night beforehand. Bread got old and varieties way too much sweet stuff and aged bread . The location is quite, but remote. In the middle of an industrial area. Fine if you are with a car, but I just didn't like the surroundings. Staff was helpful and friendly and our room was clean. No safe or fridge. I amnot always online but can say (is this a hotel thing?), the wifi was terrible. Compared to a lot of other places, it was ok, but will rank average. We did not make use of the pool and had our dinner elsewhere, so cannot comment on that. And we explored the surroundings and we were practically gone all day and we're there just for the nights. It is a cute place to stay overnight to climb or hike Mont Ste Victoire. Once behind the gate, we forgot it was located in an industrial area. Although we only spotted couples, it is a children friendly place.||||The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent: the coffee was very good (filter and espresso). The delicious apple juice was organic!||||The dinner was kind of traditional but good. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very romantic. We loved it! But what a pity that the cocktail I ordered was made with simple syrups instead of fresh fruits. That is what I would have expected...
