Casa Cosi 2 — Restaurant in Ajaccio

Because of a deep rooted interest for pizza, my husband and I visited the region especially for Casa Cosi. We had a mixed experience of the restaurant scene in Corsica but we couldn’t have been more satisfied with our choice. Casa Cosi works with excellent products, excellent service and the magic of simplicity. The setting is warm and inviting without being fuzzy, the entrées (straciatella and planche de charcuterie) generous and delicious served with warm Italian bread. The pizza itself is a story on its own. Baked to perfection with a crispy outside and a flavourful dough topped after the oven creating an exciting mix between hot and cold. Desserts are homemade and tastes like childhood memories. I've been travelling to different countries in Asia, USA and Europe (incl. North and South of Italy) and this was the best pizza I've ever had!!! The dough is not too thin and not too thick. The rim isn't very wide. The consistency of the dough is perfect (crispy on the outside, soft in the inside). It's the first time I've finished my pizza coz it's not as heavy as other pizzas. I had a pizza Casa Nova and added some zucchini. My husband had a pizza with chorizo which was awesome as well because a lot of pizzas with chorizo or salami are quite greasy but this one wasn't. Despite located directly at the main street this restaurant offers a very comfy garden which gives a very family like ambiente. The menu can be accessed only with a Smartphone, but then it is in your language. They offer a number of really tasty entries, most of them vegetarian. We gad the Kalliste, fantastic. The main dishes are only Pizza, but there are a lot of options, also vegetarian ones. The Pizza tasted extraordinary good, and the prices are really reasonable.
