La Paillote CAPRIONA — Restaurant in Ajaccio

A perfect lunch. We arrived at 2.30 with a storm brewing across the bay but the welcome was so warm and we were happy to run for cover. What followed was an amazingly delicious lunch - and even with 2 vegetarians in the party we were not disappointed. The food was super tasty and the ingredients beautiful and fresh. The wine was wonderful too. But the best thing about this little gem of a restaurant was the incredibly warm and kind service. Priscilla looked after us with such attention and warmth and kindly explained every dish to us in perfect English. When the storm arrived we took cover and were rewarded by the generous hosts with a delicious digestif. Don’t miss this place...

Directly located in the harbour of Porto Pollo the restaurant offers a great view and unique ambiente. They have a special dish if the day and a small menu with fish and meat options. All food si freshly prepared and with lots of love and art skills created. When I started eating the entry this was like an explosion of fantastic tastes in my mouth. And prepared like a dish for an emperor. The main dish was at least as impressive ad the starter. Just wow. Service is super friendly and speaks English as well. J’ai été impressionné !

Tout était exceptionnel je dois le dire. Le cadre biensur, l’accueil et la sympathie des deux serveuses, et comme vous pourrez le lire la qualité des plats.

Des entrées à partager pour se mettre en appétit (nous avons testé les churros parmesan - les enfants ont adoré) En plat un rafraîchissant tarte de thon accompagné de pickles d’oignons rouges et ses légumes la perfection à mon sens. Plat du jour Tataki de thon et sa pastèque rôtie, encore un assaisonnement masterclass. J’avais hâte de tester le dessert tout chocolat : Une tuerie ! Pas d’autres mots. Délice fruit rouge très bon aussi.

Le tout avec des associations de saveurs qui « sortent de l’ordinaire ».

Je note que même les plats enfants ont été travaillés pour garder la même lignée, j’adore ! (Bon pour les tout petit une assiette de frite serait un plus quand même, je pinaille)

Au vu de ce qui est servi, les prix sont en phase et justifiés ! Bref j’ai été impressionné...
