We went to the upstairs restaurant, which is at the bottom of the busy piste at Olympique / Fontaine Froide.

The service was not good - the staff were squabbling with one another and seemed to be scrambling around. The only way to order was to stand up and ask the lady who seemed to be running things whether we could. That was after about 20 minutes of being ignored and not having been given the water we asked for when we sat down.

The bavette was overpriced, even factoring in the altitude etc (it's one of the cheapest cuts of beef) and badly cooked - essentially only shown the grill on one side. The plate was cold, as was the beef pretty quickly.

The pasta with the veal milanese arrived cold and had to be sent back. It was a sugary, basic sauce. The escalope was nice enough.

On the plus side, the room was nicely decorated and warm, there was a good view, and the bread was...

This is a very beautiful place, so if you are looking for drinks and relaxation it is quite good (if the weather is nice). Also, the interior is lovely and cozy.

My family and I have visited this restaurant for 10-12 times in past 15 years. We were always admiring this place and the food, especially onion soup. Unfortunately, in 2025 things have changed.

The cousine is different, so probably they have changed the chef. The food is OK, but it doesn’t seem to be worth the money. The service was quite bad — mistakes, wrong dishes, wrong order of dishes… There were attempts to fix the situation, but it was more about accepting mistakes rather than compensating for ruined experience.

In my opinion, the restaurant was better when they had less tables and payed closer attention to each customer. These days it’s just not...

We have eaten here twice last season due to its amazing steak and general atmosphere. Back this year no proper steak on the menu sadly butchers cut?! Which was beef angleot or something wasnt an actual steak sadly. Was ok but not amazing. The ribs used to be covered in sauce this year not enough sauce and not as good. Food came out warm not hot It was very busy and staff were working very hard but without the maitre d coming to take our order we would have had to wait a long time. We are regulars visitors to val disere and will be back but in no rush to eat here again with current menu. Just have a good steak on the menu not pot luck choice of the day style beef .Hopefully feedback is...

A convenient restaurant just located a short ways from the Marmotte lift whether for a midday refuel or a meal. The place offers a variety of options to lounge by the slope overseeing people whizz by or take in the magnificent view around. If that's not your jam, there's generous seating indoors with a bar that serves up drinks and quick bites. The cafeteria while relatively small, offers a good range and options for your appetite. The food is pretty good and popular enough for fresh batches to be served during the lunch hour. Overall, a great location offering good value - we visited twice!

LOVE this restaurant! Absolutely superb and so easy to get to. The most delicious sliced salami and fresh bread was placed on the table to snack on. The most outstanding dish is the linguine with Parmesan sauce.I forgot to take a pic. Died and went to heaven! And for dessert, the must MUST have is the Blueberry dessert - save space! 10/10.
