La Métairie — Restaurant in Albertville

Lousy cooks and crooks Dreadful food. Terrible customer service. Rude and dishonest people - truly awful. When I asked for drinks after an hour I was told "you said you didn't want any". When food finally arrived it was not as described or cooked correctly - I've had veal with Marsala sauce many times, the large chunk of lighly seared meat with a little watery fluid bore no resemblance to the veal in Marsala I've had before. When I politely asked if my veal could be cooked a little more to medium rare she shouted "that's how you asked for it!" She hadn't asked. My plate was returned with the fries burnt to charcoal, mushrooms stone cold, no "sauce" at all left on the plate and the veal still almost raw (not just a bit pink or a bit rare). The " salad" was a few bits of lettuce smothered in bottled dressing. When I was asked if the meal was ok I politely and calmly said no and explained why. The staff took turns to shout at me and walk away then ignored me. My meal was inedible. I eventually gathered my children and belongings and went to the counter offering to pay for the drinks and other meals and was again shouted at in French ( which I didn't understand) and was then ignored. Threats and a pretence of calling the police was made. The owner prepared a false inflated bill then knocked off €10 which I obviously refused to pay but continued to offer payment as before. All the customers were now watching. Another French customer approached, agreed I was doing the right thing and suggested I leave the euros and walk out. The owner then grabbed the wadd of euros out of my hand and pushed me and my children out of the door leaving my daughter in tears. My tip? Go to Vache Rouge on the...

Wow wow wow…. We were searching for a great restaurant, specifically somewhere for Steak//Boef. This restaurant specialises in mains/desserts (no entree). When I asked for recommendations of wine the waiter returned with recommendations from the chef based on the main courses we ordered - I am not a French wine lover - Amarone/Barolo for me but crikey the wine pairing was outstanding the steak awesome but I am so pleased I went for their mash with truffle… OMG absolutely unreal… to the point I ordered a side portion of it and was treated to a large bowl. Délices à La Métairie : Un Festin Entaché par Quelques Déceptions

Au restaurant La Métairie, situé à Plagne Centre, nous avons eu l'occasion de déguster une cuisine traditionnelle préparée avec soin sur place. Ce lieu charmant, rappelant l'univers de la vieille montagne avec sa décoration simple mais cohérente, nous a offert une expérience culinaire mémorable en famille.

Pour ma part j’ai opté pour une plaque chauffante nommée "4 viandes", comprenant du bœuf, de la volaille, du canard et du veau. La qualité des viandes était indéniable, chaque morceau étant parfaitement préparé et savoureux. Cependant, nous je regrette que la charcuterie accompagnant ce plat ne fût pas en quantité suffisante, même pour un appétit modéré qui est le mien.

Les fondues, quant à elles, étaient généreusement servies et ont été un véritable délice. Riches et onctueuses, elles ont su captiver nos papilles et nous transporter dans un univers culinaire authentique.

Le service a été correct, les serveurs étant à la fois professionnels et agréables, contribuant ainsi à une ambiance conviviale.

Malheureusement, un point noir est venu ternir cette belle expérience : la vaisselle n'était pas superbement nettoyée. Ce détail, bien que mineur pour certains, a un impact notable sur l'appréciation globale du repas et mérite d'être souligné.

De plus, J’ai avons noté que le restaurant, pourrait poser des difficultés d'accès pour les personnes en situation de handicap ou à mobilité réduite. L'espace restreint entre les tables et la configuration générale du lieu ne semblent pas adaptés pour accueillir confortablement tous les clients.

En somme, La Métairie offre une cuisine traditionnelle de qualité, où la préparation des produits est réalisée avec soin. Malgré quelques réserves sur la quantité de charcuterie et la propreté de la vaisselle, nous avons passé un agréable moment et nous recommandons ce restaurant à ceux qui souhaitent savourer les délices d'une cuisine montagnarde...
