Just the most enjoyable evening spent here with my wife & 3 kids, plus a friend of ours. We had been recommended the restaurant by a couple in the Brevieres-1800 gondola on our second morning. I had also met a couple who work here on our first night in the French locals bar and they were so friendly it was a no-brainer to book a table for our last evening. We had stayed in a self-catering Airbnb just up the road. Perfect service from the staff, especially the English speaking guy who took our orders etc. Four of us had vegetarian raclett, I had a steak and my wife had salmon. We also ordered tartiflette as a shared starter, as this holiday was the first ever time skiing and visiting the French Alps, so we were looking to give her as much of an experience of the region and it's culture and cuisine as we could. The evening was the perfect way to end our week. The French Alps seem to get more and more expensive, year on year, but I thought the final bill for the food and drink that we enjoyed (service compris) was the only 'l'addition' during the whole week that wasn't a 'heartsink' moment! So many people are only motivated to leave a review when they have something, however small, to gripe about. I have a love of good, almost unnoticeable, service and am often moved to comment when it is such. If you book in for an evening at 'The Little Cave' as long as it is being run by the same people, as, being local, I'm sure it will be for a good while yet, you will NOT be disappointed. Oh, and by the way, being down at Les Brevieres, they offer a minibus lift home, to anyone at the time of booking - Bonus. No Brainer. Patrick...

We visited in the evening on a Friday, almost all tables were available and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful when we had questions about the menu. During the day, there were many skiers who would come here for a quick bite or a drink, which is lovely to come back to after a long day of skiing.
The food was ready in about 20 minutes which was perfectly fine at the time, as we had drinks to chat whilst waiting - with lovely selection from the bar inside. Portion sizes were great for the pizzas, having that nice, thin crust, crispy stone-baked taste. They were hot, delicious, full of flavour and not at all oily like some other pizzas. We all ordered ourselves pizzas when we visited.
We only went once during our visit but I'll definitely be returning for my next ski trip, I cannot recommend enough....
Read moreCan't be a more convenient location to stop if you're staying in Brev as this restaurant is literally next the main bridge connecting to the lifts from the town. Plenty of outdoor seating that encourages you to stop for a quick coffee waiting for the lifts to open, or a quick apres-ski drink at the end of the day. Our group would often use this as a meeting spot as we got down the mountain.
Staff was always friendly and it was always easy to get a seat during our week there.
However while the drinks were great, the food was just OK. I tried the curry chicken - and while the sauce was decent the chicken was very overcooked and dry. The chorizo pizza my friend ordered was bit disappointing too. But it was filling.
