Terrible. Summary: A €120 bottle of wine mysteriously appeared on our bill. They said it was an accident and they billed the wrong table. (We returned the wine list without ordering anything; There were no wine glasses on our table.) The price of the final bill changed multiple times - at least twice - and the waiting staff could not or would not explain it, and acted like it was irrational for us to try and understand what happened The server was extremely unhappy that we sought to pay individually. The fact that we paid individually was how we discovered the “accidental” bottle of wine on our bill. This is a bit worrying. The waiting staff kept opening bottles of water and adding them to our bill, with one suggesting we open five bottles at the end of our meal(???!!) to the point where we kept having to insist that no one wanted any more. The waiter’s response to one person saying they’d had too much? “Using the toilet is free”
Our final bill came to close to €1000 but the staff were unbelievably rude from the moment we sat down, and we were all given the impression they were trying to push more stuff onto our group. My opinion is that they saw our group had lots of foreigners who struggled with both French and English and thought that we could be taken advantage of.
The guy who added the bottle of wine to our bill apologised personally and said he’d speak to the lady who served us about her attitude. But I think she still would have acted vile even if the bill wasn’t an issue.
My advice to management: Treat your customers like guests, not problems to be overcome. There were many empty tables inside, so even if you thought we were difficult, it is not like we were taking your staff away from other customers. If you want to fill those tables up, and for people to come back, don’t treat customers like human garbage. My advice to everyone else? Go somewhere...
Read morei had a terrible experience here, mostly due to the service (or lack thereof) of one waiter in particular. We were ignored for a good 10 minutes before I raised my hand in order to get the waiter's attention. First, my friend ordered a power aid drink and I ordered tap water; he came back with the poweraid for my friend and an empty glass for me. After 5 minutes of waiting, I went to find out where the water was, only to be told I couldn't have tap water and would need to buy a bottle. So why bring me an empty glass and say nothing? Bizarre behaviour. After a third request to a female waiter, a bottle finally arrived. I then asked for a salad with cucumber and tomato (or any other vegetable they had), he told me this was not possible as there were none of these ingredients and I could have a bowl of leaves only (I am vegan and so this was my only choice). My friend's sandwich arrived, accompanied by a small side salad with tomatoes!! 5 minutes later I went to find out where my salad was - again, he had completely forgotten to fulfil my request. My €6 bowl of leaves eventually arrived and I was so confused as to why they thought my friend, who was able to have a proper meal, was allowed tomatoes whereas I, with my plain bowl of leaves was not worthy. I didn't bother making a fuss as he clearly didn't care and was more interested in collecting and pocketing tips from empty tables than he was in serving us but I was extremely disappointed with his attitude and I will not be...
Read moreIm very surprised by the poor reviews here. It is very expensive indeed, but in terms of Courchevel it was on average. Courchevel is a very expensive resort and even mediocre restaurants down in 1650 will cost you a little fortune. Food was really good, not outsdanding, but really good. Drinks were good too. Service was very very friendly (a very nice Spanish waiter was serving us that day), some here say it was slow, but in a place like this one should not be worried about that (my opinion). This place is more of an experience and not meant to be a quick bite between slopes. Definetely not a place to go when its too cloudy...
