Half way a hike from Val d'Isere to Le Fornet and return we selected this place for a drink and snack.....seated on the terrace away from the main street and with beautiful views on the mountains Friendly welcome and service As snack we shared am amazing "tarte au pommes"....which was delicious! Definitely a place we will return and recommended to those after a relaxing break with a view...

Bit hit and miss, depending on the time of day they can get swamped with too many food orders, so be prepared to queue for more than 10 minutes.

The good news is the bar queue is separate and pretty efficient, with only a couple of minutes wait.

The food is solid mountain fare, it's slightly pricey compared to Val claret or Tignes.

The desserts...

Very good food, the croque monsieur was very tasty and the faux fillet steak was thick and well cooked (though their "medium" came out rare).

The only downside was the long, slow moving queue to order food. They have buzzers to tell you when to collect, but the ordering queue was still moving...
