Cabanon Sauvage — Restaurant in Albi

What an amazing place this is. Tucked in a corner of the car park in the centre of Puycelsi, you would be forgiven for overlooking this restaurant.

This would be a major mistake.

Having fined in all the local Bastide Village restaurants, in the area, I can categorically say that this is by far the best, from a creativity and taste perspective.

The menu is simple, the surroundings are simple, the flavours of the food are complex and the chef has a fine pallet, balancing the levels of acidity, sweetness and seasoning perfectly.

Best of all, this fantastic food comes at a truly affordable price.

Also, they tolerate my embarrassing attempts to speak French, without any laughter.

Please visit. I promise you will not be...

Attente d une demi heure avant qu on daigne nous poser l ardoise a coté de la table pour choisir que des plats a la carte....nous avions réservé pour 2 on nous a cantonné a une table en fond de restaurant...l attente interminable avant d avoir les entrées 😡etait telle que nous avons mangé les quelques tranches de pain posé sur notre table....pas de possibilité de commander du coca 😡et surtout très decu de ces entrées "nouvelle cuisine" ....a l oeil c joli mais peu de quantité 😔 oeuf cuisson ratée dans sauce yaourt froide, polenta très cuite huileuse, viande de porc cramée legumes vraiments cuits al dente bref....pas de plaisir culinaire ...on avait l impression d etre "oublié"malgre que le restau ne soit pas complet....très decus nous n avons pas pris de desserts...bref a par la vue du coucher de soleil depuis notre table cette soirée sera pour nous...

An amazing restaurant in a beautiful town. The food is modern and very fresh, with hints to classic French cooking. Every dish was amazing and I hope to come back here one day. The staff were lovely and made us feel right at home, giving great drink...
