O' Buffet — Restaurant in Angoulême

So many people in the car park when we arrived for Sunday lunch that my heart sank. I thought it would mean queues and a crowded restaurant but once we got inside people had been seated so efficiently that it looked as though the crowds had disappeared. The place is huge, beautifully decorated and the while operation was super sleek. A second bottle of water arrived instantly without having to ask. Drinks took a little while but it was worth it as robots delivered them to the table. A lovely novelty. Food was so varied and absolutely delicious. There is definitely something for everyone, no matter what your dietary requirements or preferences, no matter what nationality. I'm not a huge eater so I had a smallish plate and went back for seconds, just about had room for a dessert. Will definitely...

Bof ! Accueil moyen. On est arrivés à 13h35, on nous a fait nous installer à 13h50. En marchant vers la table la dame nous a bien fait comprendre (sèchement) qu’on avait intérêt à se magner car ça fermait à 14h30. En même temps vous nous avez laissés poireauter un quart d’heure à l’entrée donc ça n’aide pas. Aucun sourire, service à la chaîne « tac,tac, tac! » on vous installe dans la plus grande neutralité possible. Nous qui sommes habitués aux restaus asiatiques on a toujours un large sourire à l’arrivée, vous etes placés avec douceur, on a parfois même droit à un saké dans certains restaus, les enfants ont une sucette en partant ou au moins un petit mot gentil !!!! Ici Vous entrez, vous bouffez au lance-pierres (de la nourriture très moyenne et insipide), vous pouvez et vous vous cassez. Meme la caissière était froide et non avenante. En général au restau on vous demande si tout s’est bien passé « j’espère que vous avez passé un agréable repas? » non ici c’est, bonjour 65€ merci au revoir.

Plats de qualité médiocre, les beignets de crabe (entre autres) n’avait aucun goût, d’autres plats étaient beaucoup trop gras trop cuits… des plats froids, des plats en rupture… franchement la qualité était la même que dans de nombreux autres restaus de ce genre, moins cher !! Les desserts n’en parlons pas, vous sentez bien que tout est industriel, avec un goût de frigo.

On nous a facturés un menu enfant -1m50 alors que notre fille fait -1m10 mais on n’a même pas osé en discuter vu l’accueil catastrophique qu’on avait essuyé. Ah, et en plein repas on a une autre serveuse qui est venue nous voir pour nous dire d’accélérer et passer aux desserts (14h10). On a pris aucun plaisir.

Le décor est vraiment chouette par contre et l’atmosphère est « wahou ». Mais ne vaut pas son prix. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi tant d’éloges dans les...

Disappointed...visited this restaurant for the first time with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. Drinks are not included and are expensive! Positive points; bathrooms and salle spotlessly clean. Negative: food "bof", nothing extraordinary...less choice than another local Chinese restaurant that I usually go to where the drinks are included! My son's chicken was clearly "off", smelled and tasted really bad..and when we pointed this out to the waitress she clearly wasn't bothered and didn't go to check out or remove the dish from the buffet counter...
